Working out a way to beat Khan is easy. For Garcia, bearing in mind what his capabilities are, I'd recommend he approach the fight in the following two steps:

    1. Time Khan rushing in. We all know Khan can be predictable with his attacks, and we all know how wide he leaves himself open. Garcia, being a pretty handy counterpuncher with decent pop, should attempt to punch with Khan as he comes in. He musn’t wait for him [Khan] to throw his last punch and then react. He has to trade his combinations with him. If he doesn’t knock him down or out, he’ll at least hurt him and allow phase two of the plan to kick in...

    2. Walk him down. After Khan’s tasted his power, he’ll start to get on his bike. Despite not being an aggressive come-forward fighter, Garcia must at least attempt to take the fight to him and close off his exits. He can do this by throwing his looping lefts and rights to both the body and head. Him being slow on his feet could be a problem initially, but once Khan tires and begins taking breaks on the rope, he’ll be able to stand and throw away.

    Simples.

Rip out reverse gear and keep going forward take everything Khan throws at you and keep moving forward if you get half way through the fight and your eyes haven’t closed up then you got a chance boyo as Khan will get tired and then it’s all up to the judges and then its anyones game.

garcia looks ****ing awful ,but to get where he has got,and he has beat a few world class fighters he must have something, but what im not sure:think

khan has a lot of flaws, which looking at his pad work and sparring he aint done much about them,he looks the same:roll:

garcia should employ the same tactics as peterson, just bully the ****er and push him back,i hope he can,but i very much doubt it

did any one just watch behind the ropes on sky?

khan going to war in sparring and doing similar things to the peterson fight like the pushing and macho stuff!

i know its only sparring, would make for a good fight as well if he were to fight like that!

As Rico basically says, Khan is no box of tricks. He's not a puzzle you've just got to gauge the speed and be brave and bold.

But Khan is a hard fighter to do that against, you've normally got to shift so much punishment to get to him.

Garcia's really gonna have to earn the right to retain title come Saturday night. I think his dad's mouthing off hasn't helped him.

As soon as the bell rings for the first round, Garcia should run as fast as he can at Khan and lay him out.
