If you bothered to keep up with the current scene you'd know that Povetkin is, firstly, not ranked number two in the division, and secondly has consistently done his level best to avoid a Wladimir fight for the last three years now. You'd also realise that Dimitrenko wasn't number four (he never was) and isn't currently in the top ten. You'd also also realise that Helenius is currently injured and was, in many people's eyes, beaten by Dereck Chisora in his last fight. You'd also (also also etc) know that Boytsov has consistently avoided top ten challenges, or indeed, any challenges whatsoever, and is currently ranked outside the top ten by any reputable organisation due to his singular ability to avoid fighting anyone with a pulse. However, the fact that you have not the slightest clue about what's currently going on in the heavyweight division (as should be blatantly obvious) means that you have consistently posted a number of extremely ignorant statements based on shoddy, ancient or erroneous information, rendering your position extremely tenuous and dangerous to side with.
Thank you, finally a statement i can agree with so much that i am willing to qoute it and thank the poster... thank you very much for using your common sense and your ability to research people's rankings.
yes, the best Wlad can hope for is a HOF place if he sets a longevity type of record. No way is he near ATG fighting fatty fortysomethings as legit defences.
25 defences, but thats the tip of the iceberg in your errors. you might not count them, being a biased Klithugger, I understand that. To other readers its obvious that Joes opponents were almost all prime or near prime, which is the opposite of what you claim and what Klitto faces. I will understand if you dont understand that.
In the 29 months from January 1939 through May 1941, Louis defended his title thirteen times. That was the bum of the month club.
Yep. As usual. But the most delusional Brittards even dissapeared after Wlad's KO from Saturday. Dont worry, they'll be back getting their panties wet on the Haye-Chisora farce.
this makes your point look even worse, in that you are only looking at a small portion of Joe's defences, but thanks for underlining your argument's weaknesses, that makes my job easier - Louis's worst winning run in his career is more prime than the best run of opponents of Wlads.
1944-11-14 205 Johnny Davis 190 3-3-0 Memorial Auditorium, Buffalo, New York, United States W KO 1 4 time: 0:53 | referee: Billy Cavanaugh | judge: John Sturges | judge: Frank Forbes Heavyweight title at stake per New York State Athletic Commission ruling
16 of Louis's 25 opponents in those defences wouldn't even be counted as heavyweights nowadays, and of the 9 opponents above 200lbs that he fought and defended his title against, one was mrobidly obese (Galento) and one (Abe Simon) was a big skill-less oaf, not to mention someone who was given an undeserved rematch after being thoroughly trounced first time round. Ring any bells? Attack 'Klitto's' defences all you like but don't pretend that Louis's were any better. A "prime" Abe Simon. Lol.
so in 100 years from now, when heavyweights are yet bigger and averaging 8 feet tall, will that mean that all Wlads opponents are lesser men simply because of the passage of time and people growing larger in the future? of course not.stupid argument of yours. My point, which you seem to have ignored is that even the absolute worst opponents of Louis wwerent shot fortysomethings, they were almost all twentysomethings and prime, even when Joe himself was ageing. Whereas Klitmans best opponents are past it, almost exclusively. I understand why you'd chosse to ignore a point you can answer, so no hard feelings.
