Boxing is harder than football. Even if there is more injury in football, in professional boxing you get a lot more internal and permanent injury!

    Boxing/MMA and any combat sport.

Cycling must be grueling indeed but they don't get punched in the face and watch their blood flowing.

I think people mentioning football and cycling really need to get familiar with some of the extreme sports that are niche

LOL. Baseball over rugby, cycling and swimming? Baseball is one of the least physically demanding major sports in existence. That's why they play almost everyday and sometimes twice a day.

I think a good way to judge how tough a sport is is to see often you have to compete. Or what is the rest period necessary to do it again. Boxing is every few months. Football is every week. Then you have other sports that do it every other day or so. Then girly sports like baseball.

Isle of Man is not really a sport. It's more of a test of wills. You don't physically put your body through hell. You are riding a motorcycle. Freak sports like skydiving, rock climbing, Isle of Man, etc is more about your mental make up and not really a measure of how tough a sport is.

I mean i just saw a documentary on HBO about the Isle of Man and it's crazy. But it's not a sport in my eyes. At least not in the sense of the topic at hand.
