Yeah, I don't know why GBP aren't showing more confidence in him and are somewhat babying him...but it must be said that JCC Jr. was babied FAR worse at this point in his career (and far beyond)

I think that they need to let him loose right after this fight and let him swim with the big fish, Cotto first then Lara and then Mayweather

Really haven't seen any sort of "Specialness" in Canelo yet. He is a decent enough fighter. Tough, with decent all around skills. But nothing that really stands out.

Hopefully we see soon against top Comp.

No one would give a **** if he were to beat someone like Rosado or Quintana. Start thinking outside of this forum. Those guys are no names. Rosado is building a solid resume. But he just stepped onto the scene. He could be a dangerous opponent, but his lack of a resume and name recognition makes that fight non sensical to make. And how is Quintana a solid contender? Who has he beat? That is not an intriguing fight. Williams, Kirkland, Ortiz all would've been good fights for Canelo. Unfortunately, they all fell by the wayside.

You got a Justi'n Beiber AVY which means you don't know **** about boxing.

he fights Lara to get ready for a crafty counter puncher like Mayweather

Some here are acting as if they don't understand how this business works.

Canelo is a commodity now and if anyone of us was moving him we would do as much as possible to increase it's worth.

Agree with most that these fights are incresing Canelo's name recognition(although not all is positive) but they're doing nothing to prepare Canelo when he steps it up.

Canelo has the look for a true champion, somebody who will be discussed for years. That is not to say he is the complete package right now. However, there is no justifiable reason for him to fight a 140 pounder when he would also be heavily favored in a unification fight in his own division.

Both Rosado and Quintana are better 154 contenders then Alfonso Gomez or Ryan Rhodes were when they both got their shot at Canelo. At least I think so. :good

canelo is a champion, he should be fighting the contenders. i agree he is not ready for most of the contenders. he should have got a few more wins before going for a title. he does have great skills and in a year or two he could be great. only time will tell and its a tough call, dont baby him and he could lose his star money making power, baby him too much and he wont improve.
