You are both correct, it is not a title fight. It is however on PPV and being hyped as huge and significant event in heavyweight boxing, which to me should war

No, it warrants being a 10 round bout which is the highest # of rounds appropriate unless they come up with at least some minor belt to put up for grabs.

A 10-rounder between stars or top contenders in their division can be a shitload more important than a 12-rounder for a "vacant Silver Inter-Continental title" or whatever, but it still only should be 10 rounds. I'm not sure why people don't understand that important bouts can't be 10 rounders? :? It's still denoted by its length as being more significant than a 4, 6 or 8 rounder. It's the highest honors a non-title bout can be paid, being scheduled for ten.

If Manny ****ing Pacquiao and Floyd ****ing Mayweather wind up fighting and neither happens to be in possession of a title at the time (or complementarily ranked such that a title eliminator can be wrangled out of it) IT SHOULD NOT BE TWELVE.

Well if people want to buy a £18 PPV to watch a 10 round fight involving a 15-3 guy who got outboxed by Tyson Fury and another who talks more than he fights, then that is up to them.

I thought there was some WBO international title on the line in this one. Hell, even Welliver defends his titles over 12.
Well, he did while he had them.

Well, it's only £10, which isn't just for this fight but for a months subscription to the channel.

it makes perfect sense dont be an idiot. This is a heavyweight fight between 2 top ten fighters , winner gets a title shot most likley. Also ticket prices are priced for a championship fight, finally and most importantly this is a fight levels above other far lower level fights with a shitty title on the line which this has also BTW

    this is terrible.

Then they even cut the rahman Pov fight , they charge large when a world title is on the line , they have saved a fortune form these guys purses, dont forget they pulled this one before it got cancelled! Wheres that extra money going and the main fight is a short one, what did a ringside seat cost, I bet its a grand !!

Exactly. If non-championship fights are treated accordingly and limited to 10 rounds then they shouldn't be sold at championship prices either.

I can't believe people are happy with this.

    *It

    *don't

    ...but I'm the idiot? ;)

So? That in and of itself doesn't mean it should be 12.

    Who told you that?

:rofl:rofl ****ing ******ed statement. What, pray tell, are "championship prices"? You're making **** up. People will pay to go see a boxing match whether they want to or not. They aren't getting stiffed on the extra two rounds if there's no title on the line. If anything the customer would have been unfairly advantaged, receiving two FREE rounds with it not being an actual championship. Moron.

    So the **** what?

    That isn't how it works.

Being "better than" or "more important than" or "levels above" or "featuring bigger names than" is all subjective criteria. That isn't what the scheduling of bouts at the highest level (mostly) is or should be based on. From 4 rounders through 10 rounders, yeah, it's mostly about how "important" it is...with 10 rounders being more important than 8 rounders above 6 above 4. Ten is the limit without a title, though. That's just how it ****ing is. Deal with it, *****.

Your stupid ****ing face is terrible.
