Merely 8.89 mil people bothered to watch that borefest. Wlad v Haye did almost twice as much (15.5 mil).

Haye granted Wlad a payday. Fact.

No, it doesn't unless it's in a different time zone. TV ratings when the fight took place in Switzerland or other countries in that time zone had similarly good results.

The Klits are simply losing fans with their boring-ass performances. Vitali v Chisora was successful because of Dereck.

More to do with Thompson being seen as a dead duck than anything.

 He can get 8.89 million viewers for a Thompson rematch nobody wanted? He is a big, white Pacquiao in Germany, without all that unnecessary punching.

What does this have to do with my nationality? If anything, I'm proud Germans have finally come to senses.

And make no mistake, RTL is the largest broadcaster in Europe. They do >7 mil ratings at will with random trashy casting shows. Losing almost 50% of the spectators compared to the Haye fight is huge.

People who saw the first fight were hardly likely to be keen to see the second one.

How much more money would they get if the fight was 15.5 million audience like you said? Either way its OK because Thompson wasn't a good opponent hopefully the next opponent will be much better:good

Don't be a hater Faerun. While I agree that this was yet another boring Wlad performance, the viewer ratings weren't that bad. The Klitschkos are still kings when it comes to boxing ratings on German TV.

Excerpt from the ratings thread @ sportforen.de:
Compared to other bouts that did really well on German TV:

I'm aware of what the TV ratings are. The Klits attract a lot of spectators - mostly casuals - but looking at the recent TV ratings you can see that Haye, Chisora and Briggs did very well. All of whom provided brilliant entertainment pre-fight.

Almost 50% of the spectators tuned in to see Haye (win or lose is irrelevant) and not Wlad.
