I've been saying it could well be a decent fight though.
I'm feeling less inclined to expect a decent fight now, but who knows.

It's not the fight itself I've been mocking. I have nothing against the fight - Haye and Chisora are both decent opponents for one another, IMO. Unlike some of the 'supporters' of the match, who have been calling it a 'mismatch' but also saying it's the biggest fight in boxing and needs to go ahead, I've remained consistent in calling it a reasonable match-up between two mediocre contenders.

It's the ridiculous hype based on a silly so-called 'brawl' that I don't like. It's the idea that these fighters (esp. Haye) are exciting or elite-level heavyweights.
It's the bull**** spread by fickle fans rather than the promotion itself.

Then again, many people in this country and this forum even bought into Haye v Harrison when it came down to it.
A lot of people even expected Haye to beat or trouble Wlad.
So it's no surprise that the fans are lapping this one up as something more than it is too.

This fight IMO will end earlier than people think,Chisora is going to underestimate the power of Haye and get nailed and floored within 4 rounds.

I think this fight will be a lot like the Brook v Jones fight, in that Haye (Brook) will dominate the first six and Chisora (Jones) will take over in the latter. Whether or not there will be a knockout I don't know but if there was, it would be Haye in the first six and Chisora in the next. All in all, i'm not that fussed over who wins. I just hope that the fight lives up to the hype its been given, so the fans have something to enjoy and the sport of boxing has something to showcase.

 

Haye does need to look impressive in this fight if he has ambitions of meeting Vitali (who on current form looks beatable). Haye either needs to get Chisora out of there quickly or win a wide points decision. Arsing around isn't an option for Haye.

Booth has been quite complementary about Chisora in the build up so it puzzles me why Haye has been so down on Chisora's achievements. Essentially Haye gives the impression that he is fighting a bum which means that if he wins he has achieved little.

It wouldn't surprise me if Haye retires for good even if Vitali wants to fight on relatively even terms. The man looks a tad demotivated going by today's presser.
