good point. whenever floyd gets in trouble its "I dont care what boxers do outside the ring" then when Pac does something "oh hes no better than anyone else what a scumbag!" :patsch

just like ppl are cool with dawson moving down to fight ward, but manny gets crucified for his weight games by the same guys

How many drained fighters has Pac fought? Drained meaning they showed abnormalites during a fight like less punches thrown or early fatigue. So how many?

I don't hate Pacquiao, I like watching him as a fighter but some of his fans, not all of them are annoying as hell. I don't mind someone being a hardcore Pacquiao fan as long as they're sensible with it.

Bonds never failed a test, but he got away with it,not all cheaters get caught.. It is the cheaters and lairs that RUN from test.. He will be remembered for avoiding Floyd at all cost..

So Cotto was weight drained at 145 against Pac, but wasn't at 146 against Clottey just 6 months before?

    :hi: Pac's biggest hater.

funny because in mma there was a fighter Overeem who avoided a drug test, then everyone pointed fingers at him. and then the commission actually did a surprise test after a press conference, just randomly one day. BOOM. he got caught and the biggest heavyweight fight ever was cancelled.

Cotto looked like **** in the Clottey fight as well. I imagine having to drain another pound wouldn't have helped Cotto's cause thats for sure

exactly. Pacquiao has alot of moronic fans. When fat dan dropped him to #2 under floyd on the p4p list, he started getting death threats. wtf is that? now pacquiao fans are sayin "p4p rankings dont mean ****" hahaha. Boxing has never had fans as maniacal and moronic at the same time. Also, Pacquiao rejected drug testing, walked away from the biggest fight in history, when interest was at its peak, to fight joshua clottey. and then he tries to convince us "i want to make the fight for the fans" sure buddy.

If 145 pounds was no big deal, then why did Roach insist it?

sigh....cotto may have hit the scales at 146 for the clottey fight, but he entered the ring at 160. clottey gained like 20lbs by fight night. did you know cotto started his career at 140 in 2001??? he was kiling himself to make 147, and having to make 145 is a big difference. there is a big difference in training for a fight and training to make weight.

    Roach insisted 142. 145 was Cotto's offer.

    So 145 was the agreement.

If 145 was good enough for Julio Cesar Chavez-Pernell Whitaker, why wouldn't it be good enough for Pacquiao-Cotto?

    :think

If Cotto was killing himself to make 147, why would he show up 1 pound under the required limit at 146 on the scales?

    :patsch

Pacquiao didn't invent catchweights. He's not even a true welterweight. Weighed at 144 after 2 meals against his fight with Margarito.
