jumping/bieng light on your feet allows you to move around the ring easier though...and enables you to react faster to your opponents movement.

Float like a butterfly sting like a bee

I think Freddie needs to call it a day he has to much on his plate; Manny, JCC Jr., Khan...

I don't think he meant he doesn't want Amir to be light on his feet, he just doesn't want him jumping backwards like a lunatic all the time.

A good change. Khan needs to sit down on his punches more.

    ....

    :deal

When you're constantly bouncing, not only do you expend extra energy, but you're obscuring your vision and don't always see properly what you're opponent is looking to do. I've always felt that Khan needs to step around the ring, as opposed to run. Stepping and punching lets you hit abit harder whilst keeping your legs fresh, whereas running and punching takes the steam out of your shots and the life out of your legs because you're constantly planting and pushing off them.

Yeah. Nice stuff i think this is better for Khan.He was beginning to look ridiculous when he bounces around the ring..Needs to sit down a bit and really smack his opponent and bounce out as a defensive move.

Defense is what he should teach him. Tying up opponents instead of pushing their heads down. Ffs he landed a hell of a bodyshot to Maidana if they knew that worked, why in the **** didn't they repeat what had just worked? Khan really would be twice the fighter he is if he focused more on defense and body punching. He would easily be better than Pacquiao if he focused specifically on those 2 things. He'd have more ko's if he attacked the body and just jab to the head be less of a headhunter. Not many would be taking those bodyshots Maidana took if Khan continued with them Maidana doesn't see past 5 rounds.

Khan isn't very economical with his movement. A lot of wasted energy and unnecessary motion. Its like he confuses himself.

He needs to work on his footwork and start to sharpen up his technique. It seems he hasn't learnt much in his last few fights. Hope he doesn't think he's the perfect package right now coz he has a lot of little things to work on.

I agree. I wonder if Khan has got a point where he won't really learn much more because sometimes I see Freddie working on things and I think oh look he's improving this and that but against Peterson as soon as he got pressured he reverted to what he does in those situations.

Watching the Holt fight looks ike Garcia takes a pretty good punch thats gonna have alot to do with this fight and not if, but when he hits Khan how will he respond run like against Peterson (which I think he will) I don't think Roach can teach him defence at this point of his career if so he'd know it already. I got a feeling Peterson has wrote the blue print to beat Khan pressure, pressure, pressure.

That blue print has been there since the Gomez fight.

I agree with this. Khan has huge potential but has a long way to go. His footwork is **** and the bouncing does not help. Khan could be P4P top ten but he aint there yet

I think Khan is in it for the money; he doesn't engross himself into the sport. He's not a gym rat like Mayweather.

i disagree when ya say his footwork is **** ! his feet are super fast and his movement is good, its just he wastes too much energy doing it and doesnt plant his feet! but ever since the amateurs his footwork has been excellent
