They genuinely have a harmful effect on HW boxing, individually they are both good boxers and their demeanour/behaviour is largely exemplary.

If they had different surnames but were the same fighters they are now it would be great, however them existing as they do as some sort of heavyweight tag team presents a few problems

    being that

    1. The two best fighters in the division aren't fighting each other, there isn't a definitive champion

    2. They tag team opponents. If you take a look at another division say, Welterweight (where the top 2 also aren't fighting each other). Someone like Juan Manuel Marquez was shut out by Mayweather, yet he beat Pacquiao

With the Klitschkos what largely happens is that a fighter will get a shot at one of them, and then will be discarded as if they have fought the pair of them.

They are not one boxer. Vitali is not Wlad and Wlad is not Vitali. You don't get credit for another mans win

Wlad says of Haye and Chisora 'they are Klitschko losers'...so? Wlad hasn't fought Chisora and Vitali hasn't fought Haye.

Do you think that simply because Wlad has beaten someone that Vitali shouldn't face them? Or vice versa?

No other boxer can not fight someone simply because another fighter has beaten them, it doesn't matter if it's your brother

It stagnates the division, the contenders as a rule don't end up fighting each other and they will generally only fight ne brother, in a lot of cases it's warranted but in some it's also not

Once Federer, Nadal and Djokovic are gone, tennis will become pretty interesting.

Exactly. If Federer, Nadal and Djokovic didn't play eachother, but just beat the up and comers once and then they were done, then you have the Klitschko situation.

'The Klitschkos have cleaned out the division' - no

You can't clean out the division WITH someone. This isn't a tag team sport

Only an idiot would think the two best fighters in the division retiring would be good.

The Klitschkos are the first tag-team in boxing history. Unbelievable achievement.

Exactly. It's stupid and you know it.

For them it's an unavoidable situation and I don't expect them to fight eachother, but its harmful to the division.

They did clean out the division together... if you think that isn't fair then that's your problem. They are the best and it's understandable they don't fight eachoter.
Pac and Floyd don't fight eachother either without being brothers, but that doesn't mean boxing is better off without them.

Honestly I hope Vitali loses his election and keeps on fighting. I think the only reason he looked bad after the 3rd or 4th round with Chisora was due to the shoulder injury. He was dominating in typical Vitali fashion up til that point. It was a testament to his heart and ability to adapt that he won that fight. All credit to Chisora too, he pressured the **** out of him. I think it would solidify his top 20 heavyweight ATG status if he defends his belt and breaks George Foremans record of oldest heavyweight at 45.
