I think Roach knew what he had in Manny Pacquiao, testing excuses weather valid or not, I believe Roach knew with out Mayweather if matched right Manny can solidify his legacy with big wins over guys that Floyd never fought, guys that were a real threat to Floyd when Manny faced them. I think Roach and pacquiao assumed that the Mayweather fight would always be there in the end, Basing this off the fact that it is or was the richest fight to be made, Floyd would have made the most money for this fight so to me I think Roach took a gamble and when it came down to agreeing to the test, Floyd chucks them a low ball in terms of money. Crazy to think that way back when Pacquiao was gettin ready for the 1st Marquez fight, I asked Freddy how far he thinks this kid can go, Roach didnt expect Manny to make it this far, but did say he would retire as the best feather weight, out doing Sal Sanchez
big wins over guys that Mayweather never fought? ummmm like who? do you mean like a guy coming off disappointing performances like Joshua Clottey, or maybe a guy who hadnt had a respectable fight in two years like Margarito? those two losers were a threat to floyd? dont be ridiculous. correct me if im wrong, but Manny solidified his legacy with big wins over the guys the floyd fought. that is the reason people even became interested in the megafight, because manny beat the guys floyd beat in exciting fashion.
actually, the contracts were released buddy. the cat is out of the bag. Kevin Iole, who is a Floyd Hater, actually released the contracts and it puts all the blame on Team Pacquiaoatsch
Its fair enough if someone asks for a 10 million dollar per pound over weight penalty I bet they though Floyd would never agree to that
sheet.......what contracts? which one??? 1. prelim contract brought over by arum to pac in 12/4/09??? 2. compromised contract agreed to by haymon during mediation with tr/de beoff which floyd wouldn't sign on??? 3. contract for the greenburg mediated agreement haymon went into for floyd with arum?? if iole's contract/article had any significance, it would have been debated more.

exactly, floyd agreed to that outrageous penalty no problem but to Pacquiaos fans, the drug testing was "over the top" (even though floyd would participate in it too)atsch
He could have also fought Floyd, but he goes and fights a cheater Margo to try and slide up the all time ranks by getting an 8th title,at a catch weight..
