Kovalev is the truth, I've been a convert since his performance against Roman Simakov on the Provodnikov vs. Corley undercard. (although it was sadly overshadowed by the fact that Simakov died from injuries sustained in the process).

My only concern with him was his mentality going forward, because causing the death of an opponent has ****ed up the mind of many a boxer. He was shattered when it happened and tried to reach out to Simakov's family to apologize, spent several hours a day praying for Roman, contemplated retiring etc.

Fortunately he looked to have cleared some of his demons and gotten back into the swing in the Boone rematch. He didn't look as sharp as he had against Simakov, but a seven month layoff during which you're spending more time wrestling with guilt and grief than in the gym will do that. He still got the job done well inside the distance, in impressive fashion.

    Lots of talent.

But then, Campillo is a h2h pest and a huge step up.

Agreed he is very talented, Knowing you killed a man in the ring though has to really get to you, Maybe he'll take it easy in critical moments now out of fear or something, Could effect the way he fights. But then again he WRECKED Boone in his last tight with ease. **** them Russians for not stopping Simakov fight in time, Guy was taking much unneeded damage. Badly Rocked multiple times late after grueling early rounds.

The thing that bothered me the most was that the russian crowd of Kovalev fans were cheering as Simakov was brought out on a body bag thing, His life was clearly at question ATM and the crowd were cheering for Kovalev constantly, Thought that was very disrespectful.

Yeah, even Kovalev himself stopped running around celebrating when he saw that big orange bag come out and took on a visible look of shock and concern.

That was ****ing scary to see live. You could almost tell already how it would turn out..

Yea. RIP Roman. I read IF he fought again he planned to give his whole purse to the Roman family, Knowing it wouldn't fix it all, Kovalev was very respectful and honorable towards them. He wasn't sure about coming back at all, Glad he did. It's not his fault, The fight should have been stopped before hand.

:good That's the trick with creating polls. You want to do it as late in the day as possible before the time the event will actually be. That way the day of the fight people aren't complaining that the poll cut off in the morning. Of course if the cutoff is too late people can vote on it during or after the fight.

It's a little restrictive, only being able to have the poll end at the exact time of day you made it on whatever day you choose. You should be able to set cutoff date and time. :conf

antwone smith, I still like him despite his setbacks. he's a tough guy, a poor man's james toney, when james toney wasn't a disgrace.

what kind of fighter is kovalev? cruz?

I'll be rooting for Campillo and Smith. My predictions are Campillo and Cruz, however.

    It would be a WAR.

Bellew has the lower ceiling, though - if projections based on what we've seen of Kovalev prove correct.

Campillo has been so ****ed up by judges that I think I'll never root against him.

Because, while I'm a T. Cloud fan, I thought Campillo fought well and won, so I'd hate to see him lose another winnable fight right after that.
