Campillo was robbed in his draw against Murat for the IBF eliminator, i thought Campillo should have won by two rounds. He looked good some portion of the fight but seemed to lack pop in his punches.
The Campillo - Cloud fight told us more about Cloud than about Campillo.
Since i consider Kovalev to be a better boxer and a better puncher than Murat, i don't see how Campillo can be a favourite here.

Pretty much what I figured. Lots of guys get robbed (and Cloud wasn't even the first time it happened to Campillo, by a long shot. More like the fourth...although he's benefited from being on the other end of a wrong decision as well...)

You guys might want to educate yourselves on Kovalev before just blindly rooting for Campillo on the sole basis of him having had some **** luck with judges.

like I said I know nothing about Kovalev, just did a quick boxrec look and saw the SD over Boone. I do remember hearing about the situation where dude unfortunately died though......

I'm a big fan of Campillo and I trust your word over just about all on this site so I'll take your word on Kovalev. Any fights of his you suggest I watch?

How do you think this one plays out? Is Campillo clearly a level above or is this a case of a potential break out fight for some fresh blood at 175??

Unless Kovalev is the second coming of Christ, I'm going to be rooting for Campillo : The guy has been given the shaft more times than Elton John.

Wow this poll is more unanimus then I'd expect, Please watch one of Kovalev's resent fights before picking. It's gonna be either Kovalev by Highlight reel KO, or Campillo by 1 sided UD. I know that much.

Hrrmmmm... tough one to call. Love Campillo, but that might be some bias in his favor after the robberies he's been through. Kovalev's got sick power too, I've seen him a few times here in Chicago. Either way I'm excited for this one, good crossroads match.

Kovalev looks pretty good in the fights on YouTube I've seen, but I see Campillo winning this hands-down, y'all.
