hahaha, thats funny because the contracts say a different thing. besides, random is random. why is Pacquiao the ONLY fighter asking for cut off dates and such? This content is protected . Team Pacquiao says "so what, we KNOW manny doesnt take steroids http://www.aolnews.com/2009/12/13/pacquiao-would-welcome-random-drug-test/ This content is protected http://www.fighthype.com/pages/content6546.html This content is protected http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/sports_blog/2009/12/mayweather-promoter-im-not-saying-the-fight-is-off.html Arum says fight is off, Pacquiao will fight malignaggi instead (hahaha) http://www.aolnews.com/2009/12/25/mayweather-pacquiao-off-pacquaio-malignaggi-pending/ pacquiao wants 30 day cutoff, saying giving blood within 30 days will weaken him...but video of him giving blood inside of 30 days for the Hatton fight (2nd round KO) shows he is full of **** http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=4777048 (the video footage was later confirmed to be 24 days before the hatton fight, so Pacquiao changes he 30 day cutoff to 24. such bull****, cuz the week before he was saying it HAD to be 30 days) arum says the fight is off. team mayweather doesnt agree with 24 day cutoff http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=4803490 mayweather tries to compromise with a 14 day window cutoff, Pacquiao rejected the 14 day cutoff. arum confirmed the cutoff of 14 days was denied by Pacquiao, and Pacquiao signed to fight joshua clottey http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/mma/boxing/01/08/pacquiao.clottey/index.html NOW IF THAT AINT DUCKING A FIGHT THEN I DONT KNOW WHAT IS. Manny DUCKED THE FIGHT HANDS DOWN. THAT WAS CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER
BAZOOKA, this is actually more logical than many pacquiao fans every respond. Me, for the record, i am a fan of both floyd and manny, but mannys fanatical fans with their lack of knowledge, (not all manny fans but a good amount) just require me to point out their lapses in facts. anyway, bazooka, your theory may be right, and it could be further reinforced by the fact Team Pacquiao decided to fight Marquez a 4th time at the same weight of 144, possibly to see if the weight affected Marquez, which it didnt. anyway, Pacquiao ducked the fight, so based on your theory, he would've been scared as opposed to dirty. (id have a lot more respect for him if this is true)
Yep, this seems more logical. Floyd fought Marquez as a tune up for we all know who. All bs aside, I honestly feel that the Marquez shutout, coupled with the exceeded amount of anticipation for a mega fight had arum and co. nervous that their man would not be able to complete on the same level as Floyd and end up being beaten badly
I do not believe Marquez was a tune up fight for Pacquiao, there is no fighter out there that you could use as a tune up for Pac, I think the Marquez fight with Mayweather was to establish a theme for the Pacquiao Mayweather fight. I also think that once Roach saw how dominant Floyd was over Marquez, the testing was their legit way out, it is not required and they could use that as an excuse to not fight. The more I look back I do not think it had as much to do with testing as it did that performance. Manny went life and death, Floyd well, did the man even break a sweat?
hmmmm. thats actually interesting. thats just as likely as him being scared of what drug tests will find. I'd like to think Pacquiao was clean, so this theory is alot easier to digest for me personally
I really think that was the case, when you look back if they took that who knows really what the out come would have been back then Manny was still on fire, But I dont think they wanted to risk being exposed so early. You had some good names there to make some money with and extend that stay at welter and super welter. thats what they did, they took the winnable fights under winnable conditions to make what money was available, Now look where Manny is at..... He has options, How do I say such a thing after one loss and one questionable win? Manny can now take the Floyd fight, probably wont make 40 mil or PPV revenue but will make more than a rematch with Marquez and or Bradley. and should he lose to Floyd, it was Floyd Mayweather nothing to be ashamed of. Then they move on to Marquez, and if they lose there well Marquez always gave manny trouble in fights, and finalize it with Bradley and should they lose there which I think he will, they can then retire with three decent paydays back to back to back and state that Manny is washed up now. Which sucks because Bradley will get no credit....
Yes I agree with this When I say the term tune up it only relates too Floyd coming back from retirement but other than that your post is:deal
Exactly, too much money and hype on the table for either man not too take advantage of the situation and extend their records for as long as possible. To me it was always going to be the case of who loses first, and how badly that particular man loses. Always knew it was going to be manny first, just didn't realize his own promoter would be the one to do it to him
you ain't really putting forth anything that's new and i don't think you're really convincing anybody with your bullsh!ts and half-truths and other facts you're leaving out. it's already been written, floyd ducked the fight.
In all honesty, I don't really think it's him. Pacquiao has fought a lot of guys who has supposed advantage over him skillwise even back then. Sasakul, Ledwaba, Barrera etc. Pacquiao never ducked anyone. It's just that snake Arum or someone from his team who is pulling all the strings.
We have all either knew from before, or came to the realization along the way. You on the other hand......:-(
Explain what changed between now and then, Why was pac so against testing then but now is willing to do the test? if you can make any logical sense out of that, you have a case... Get to it!
