And look how his physique turned out.....

Still I actually agree with you! As long as you can have enough stamina for 12 hard rounds it dont matter. There are many ways to skin a rabbit.

Strength and conditioning coach equals bad boxing ..Why else does Haye have such lousy footwork ..This is the reason these clowns should be nowhere near the sport of boxing . Roadwork was is an essential training tool this is why no fighter today will be able to box for 15 rds ..Can you imagine David Haye in a 15 rounder ? Utter nonsense !

Rather do a grueling elliptical workout than any road work. Bad for joints.

I'm in the same boat but if I want to be undisputed champion and be as great as former legends I would follow their lead and do the road work ..That formula has worked well for fighters of the past ..Im not messing with the recipe .All this strength and conditioning these days is like micro wave cooking !

Lack of roadwork is never good but remember Davids trainer never fought a day in his life!

He learned to train by watching film.

Never grew up in a gym either!

Wlad stopped doing roadwork years ago. added more movement in the ring and swimming. swimming is the key

especially HW, IMO the roadwork can hurt more then help... a 245lb guy running? hard on the body day after day

David is 210 right and footwork and balance is part of the roadwork when you're running and shadow boxing at the same time.

These are the parts of Davids game that are just absolutely horrible. He can't even stay on his feet against a great fighter. He flops around the ring like a fish!!

I thought he was trying to give Vlad a Blow job, not box him!

To be honest, Wlad's footwork is terrible as well.

Nobody in the division has better footwork than Wlad, to say it's terrible shows how little you know.

More bad than good. It speaks volumes on our generation. A lot more lazy and undisciplined. Always willing to take a few shortcuts if desired. If you're a Super HW like the K brothers then I more than understand. Big guys running would cause some issues for their joints. Running, whether in the form of interval sprints or distance is ideal. Swimming is a fine alternative for the bigger guys. Plenty of HWs have done both running and swimming (Guy in my avatar. Fitness freak).

Add Holyfield and Pernell Whitaker as guys who didn't do roadwork. It really hurt them didn't it?

as long as they get the right cardio he should be fine conditioning-wise; the roadwork is there to test mental fortitude than anything

IMO nothing can replace fast paced long distance running. When you're in shape you have that bounce in you're feet.

I tried swimming but it made my shoulders feel tight... Different strokes for different folks i suppose
