Moore claims he won one of their fight but was robbed. Is there any truth to this? The fights took place in Charles' hometown, could the judges have been on his side?

Also, Moore seems to have been beaten in this series as decisively as against Bulrey and Moore always claimed Burley was one of the best. There is not much praise from him for Charles. I read that this was due to them not liking each other. In one of their fights, Moore was supposed to have insulted Charles in a clinch and this made Ezzard mad enough to try for the KO. Charles also did not like Moore's arrogance. Any truth to them not liking each other?

Wright claimed that if Charles were in his prime he would have beaten Marchegiano . I believe he said that Charles was d best or 1 of d best . I did saw and heard him in n interview claiming that he beat Charles 1ce . In addition 2 Ezzard Charles and Charley Burley , u can add Eddie Booker 2d list of Wright's daddies , although Wright beat him once , but Booker KOd Wright . There's more about it in Stonehands89 articles which links 2 them r provided in 1 of his threads/posts .

You mean like the way Charles in his prime was behind on the cards against C level swarmer Pat Valentino? Or him losing to a 37 year old swarmer Elmer Ray?

Q: You fought nine world champions and seven Hall-of Famers. You won four of five fights from Jimmy Bivins and all three fights against Joey Maxim. Since you lost all three fights against Ezzard Charles, you have to consider him among the greatest fighters you ever fought.

A: "I would have to put Charles up there with the greatest fighters of all time. He gets too little credit from boxing critics. I think he would have beaten Marciano in his prime. When Rocky fought Charles he was a shell of himself."

Classic Archie Hyperbole. I think Charles in his prime has a chance to beat Marciano, better than others. But in the end, Rocky prevails

Charles was clearly better and the greatest fighter (at middleweight) pfp, I ever saw. He beat Moore 3 times and had a ko.

Ezzard Charles was special in the 1940s, no lie. He was still fighting great fights all the way up through 1954. Charles footwork in the 1940s is like poetry in motion. He glides on skates, so smooth and fluid.

You saw Charkes fight at MW?! those musta been some great experiences. Charles at MW has been compared to Sugar Ray Robinson. is this accurate?

Archie has had some crazy quotes but the Ezzard that fought Marciano would have beaten Archie again and more convincing....Charles just came off his most impressive 2 wins KO's at heavyweight and Archie was on his best win streak beating top 10 contenders in the heavyweight division.....It could be argued that they had better days but these were their best days in the heavyweight division...You could argue that when Charles beat Louis,Walcott he was better but Charles never looked better in the 2 fights before Marciano and the 1st fight with him....It was Marciano who improved in rematches and Charles went down-hill quickly after those Marciano beatings but my guess was Charles had it together for Rocky 1
