Haye & Booth both pretty much stated it's Vitali or retirement, why not call out Wladimir and make up for that shameful performance last year? Do they see Vitali as the weaker brother now, in the same way they thought Wladimir was the weaker guy last year?

He wants to retire Vitali in style and in spectacular fashion.

Vitali is the logical opponent. Regardless of the circumstances (ie. hurt toe), Haye aleady lost to Wlad in a boring fight. Haye's fifth round stoppage of Chisora suggests he has a shot at beating Vitali (in that weird boxing logic) who couldn't put away DelBoy. From a marketability standpoint, Haye vs. Vitali much more viable.

Really, or is that just how it is going to be played out? Watching the post fight interviews, and the pundits talk made me cringe a bit. Wladimir was a giant Ukranian Elephant in the room. He claimed injury for that fight, but going after the brother in decline is a clear sign of opportunism and weakness IMO. I hope he gets the fight and gets taught a painful lesson, used to be a Haye fan but the Wladimir fight tainted my view of him. He did great tonight though, because he was seriously gassing and would'v been staggering out of his corner if it went to 9 & 10. He needed that KO!

Because Vitali is past prime, the lesser Klitschko and Haye would gain a belt giving him more leverage at the negotiation table with Wlad.

    Common sense.

Wladmir said he won't fight Haye again but was willing to fight Chisora if he had won.I don't see Wladmir taking the fight though, most likely Haye will fight Fury next.Only way Haye will get a title shot is by being the mandatory fighter.

    Many reasons:

    - Wladimir-Haye will be harder to sell after the farce the first fight was.
    - Because of the Chisora fight, a direct comparison is being made already between Haye and Vitali.
    - Vitali is more willing/motivated than a Wladimir who's already done the job comprehensively.
    - Vitali, because of his age, is actually an easier opponent than Wladimir.

Didn't wladimir say he wasn't going to fight Haye again, and they were already negotiating with vitali before the fight anyway.

Sure, there's the 'Vitali is more beatable' reason, but there's also the following to consider:

    • Wladimir-Haye will be harder to sell after the farce the first fight was.
    • Because of the Chisora fight, a direct comparison is being made already between Haye and Vitali.
    • Vitali is more willing/motivated than a Wladimir who's already done the job comprehensively.
Makes more sense, boxing and business wise, to go for Vitali instead of Wladimir.
