Here's another quote from this joke.

OP has never seen Chisora fight before and is just moaning to be a ******.

I completely agree with the poster who said a ref's job is not to consider how much time is left. One punch can make the difference between life and death and I knew the mature posters would come out to support the stoppage!

Also Joe, to my knowledge, Chisora has never been down before.

It was a good and sensible decision. Anyone who thinks otherwise is either a moron who doesn't understand either the role of a boxing ref or human physiology or a ***** who cares more about having a few more minutes of personal entertainment than the health of another human being.

The idiocy here being highlighted even further by the complaints about British referees when the ref wasn't even from these isles.

Btw. beats me how supposedly educated boxing fans are NOT aware that the referee is NOT meant to keep track of time, nor take it into consideration in any decision he makes. There is a time keeper and there is a reason those two are not the same person.

What else would one expect from the posters of this forum? Unless the guy is laying face down in a pool of his own blood people will complain about a stoppage.

So you are saying the referee should not take Chisora's condition into his consideration? as long as the figher puts his gloves up and says lets go its all fine and dandy? When did you start watching boxing?

10 second warning WHILE the crowd were going ****ing mad and Chisora had been knocked down, was taking unanswered punches and on unsteady legs. Even if we assume that he has supernatural hearing and can multitask like no-one on earth, the referee is not supposed to take time remaining into account when assessing the health of a fighter. Chisora was on shaky legs after two very heavy KDs, hence the stoppage.

And for you information my argument was in relation to posters saying the opposite, "yeah Chisora was gone", but there was only 1 second left so the referee should have let him continue, so he could have had 1 minute rest to recover, are you following?

Meh, it was a fair stoppage after two heavy knockdowns. If you want to blame anyone blame Chisora for throwing the daftest right hand ever seen and rushing onto a left hook.

That said, stoppage aside the referee was terrible, far too busy.
