The ref did a GREAT job. He was obviously paid to "help" Haye, and he delivered in spades. First the early stoppage when Chisora was doing well on the inside, then the fast count, then the inexcusable wave-off.

    It was a **** stoppage.

But not one of those blatant ones where the other fighter is not hit at all but because he does not answer 5 punches.. it is stopped.

Chisora was hit really well for both the first and the second KD. So the KDs were both completely legit. However, Chisora showed very fast recovery and Haye even said that he took shots with a smile that anyone else would have dropped from. These ones he did not take with a smile, but his strong chin and great recovery showed and he got up both times.

And he was no Bute (in Andrade I) who looked like he didn't know where he was and knees could not straighten out. He stood up and each micro-second he was clearing up. He had to have been just to get up so steadily from such a relatively hard couple of punches. Then Pabon rushes through the numbers as if he is in a speed-reading contest. Despite the rush from the referee... Chisora still is standing when he reaches 8.

The round is over. The ref and everyone else knows this because the 10 second warning bell has sounded loudly.

And then he choses to stop the fight.

Bull-**** stoppage, but of course not as bad as many other stoppages we have seen. Still I dislike it way more than some other bull-**** stoppages because where they might have stopped a rubbish fight, this ref actually stopped a great fight that was just about to unfold for us.

Yeah, yeah... you said Chisora had recovered from knock downs in the past when he has never been floored. Maybe Joe DKSAB,

It's not the refs job to know, or to care about how much time is left in the round. In an ideal world it would be good in some situations to give a guy extra time to recover if its at the end of the round but it shouldn't be like that.

Whether it is 1 second into the round or 2:59 into the round if you get your opponent to a state where he can not continue you should be awarded the win.

It was a decent stoppage tonight. People need to stop with the "there was only a second left of the round" bull****.

Thought the stoppage was poor, considering the round was over, IMO.

As an amateur I said. But why hang onto that anyway. It is like saying someone is wrong because he didnt put a comma in the right place. It is not key to the argument.

Keys are that the ref counted fast, Chisora has fast recovery (Haye even said he hit him with normal KO-rendering shots and Chisora was smiling 1/10th of a second later, and the round was over. Those are the key issues.

    Anyway.

**** stoppage ... and so on per my last post.

Chisora's legs were completely gone and I doubt a minute in the corner would have helped much.

God awful ref! Broke up the action several times, ****ed up the end of round 3 I believe it was, and Gould have at least let Del Boy get to his corner and let them decide.

With that said, Haye **** DB up bad and he wasn't gonna recover so I won't argue with the **** stoppage.

I ****ing hate Haye and love Chisora, but I'll admit Haye made him look like and amateur, he completmjw outclassed my boy. Props to Haye...
