I knew Garcia was decent but thought he looked made for Amir.As the fight went on I thought Khan looked in total control and was for thinking it would go 12.
Is depressing to see one of our champs lose like that but hats off to Garcia. And Amir showed some real heart to keep getting up.Long road back for Amir if he chooses to go on.

that flurrying of khan really bit him up the arse.

his technique on that first knockdown. :patsch

just winged away and got sparked with a good counter.

back to the uk and some builders after that.

Khan can be to careless and it showed in this fight, As soon as he was put under pressure he tried to outbox and smother Garcia by going crazy. He was asking for it. He started off so well too. Its a long way back, whether he can do it or not I honestly dont know now.

Wasn't expecting that either.. he took some good shots from Maidana and Peterson but despite that Khan has got no chin whatsoever! And he's got no power either... lots to think about for Khan

Garcia has serious power, let's not forget that. Khan got tagged and couldn't recover, even with a minute's break. That's not his fault, he just didn't have the punch resistance to withstand that. Good stoppage - a brutal KO was on the cards.

Going to be a long job for sure if he chooses to go on.Like you say he started so well then bang.He showed a lot of determination I thought in keep getting up,he was done after the first knockdown but gave it a hell of a try to prove otherwise.

I can't help but feel complacency will always be a part of Khan. Hes regressed as a fighter since maidana IMO, chosing to trade with a puncher shows lack of intelligence. Shame really cos he has fantastic attributes but it amounts to little if you cant maximise your strengths.

Maybe he missed Ariza i read somewhere maybe boxing news or monthly where Khan was talking about his new fitness coach and he said he was better than Ariza because he wasnt as tired and sore after training but arent you so supposed to be tired and sore after training and Ariza certainly improved Khans punch resistance.

cheeky 2nd post here. For the left hook (1st one) khan got caught with, khan tried to land an uppercut from outside. he always does that, always goes for that same signature punch, in that Behind the Ropes documentary it looked like he was always going for the uppercut in sparring.

if you have a bad chin, why go for an uppercut, that whats iv been told anyway

Looked similar to how Garcia knocked Morales down.. guess Khan missed that part of the fight when he watched it

well i called it. for me it was very likely.

new strength and conditioner, shaky whiskers and a good crisp hard counter puncher who wont get blown away.

khan needs to go to 147 or rematch garcia

Garcia was looking down, so khan went for the uppercut, but fell into the trap, same way Manny Pac caught Hatton

Surprising how fighters fall for that sneaky hook/overhand right when the fighters looking down

Yep sure is bud.. First KD fuked him up never really recovered you only had to look at his legs to see that.

Shame coz thats another British fighter fuked I do hope he can come back but that would of knocked his confidence for **** and im sure he will be thinking funny things ie. retirement. Khan has t use his head

    NO IQ NO WIN
