I mean Khan folded like a lawn chair when he got hit with that left hook but earlier in the night Haye took a similar shot from Chisora (after the bell) and seemed quite buzzed by it, another instance I remember is Hopkins Pascal 2 where Pascal nailed Hopkins on the neck area with a flush power shot that hurt Hopkins but are neck shots almost as bad as temple shots? or is it just that Khan is glass from the chest up (brain included) :think
I'd say it wasn't just the neck. That left hook hit the neck and the point of where the jaw meets the neck, right below the ear. He took plenty of shots ON the jaw afterwards and it seemed to not afeect him as much. Maybe someone with more knowledge could explain the difference.
I'd say they could be pretty disorienting WHEN YOU HAVE THE SECOND WORST JAW OF ALL TIME IN THE SPORT. Second only to Enzo Macaroni-legs.
I figured it's because your neck is the shock absorber for your head, and at the top of the neck where it meets with the head is where your brain stem is( very vital) also taking a good shot to the neck is like getting whiplash after a bad car crash, atleast I figure

Any man should be able to take a punch to the side not front of the neck, let alone with 8 oz pillows on the end of your fist
i saw that **** too. the neck is pretty vulnerable in the fact that all nerve transmissions have to go through the brain stem to control the rest of the body thus the jelly legs.
I'm a first year medical student, and from my limited knowledge, what I know is that he got hit rite near his cerebellum, trauma to the cerebellum, causes damaged cells to release tons of Potassium, the blood becomes Hyperkalemic- leading to muscle weakness, faintness, and dizzyness, clearly what we saw in Amir rite after he got back up. They should have given him as MUCH water as possible, to try to restore normal Pottasium levels, but clearly theres only so much one can do Also, cerebellum is associated to MOTOR+ COORDINATION+ BALANCE, and primary control of legs, hence the loss Thanks
atsch at Khan fans creating aliases making an excuse for their boy, when he got punch in the neck, and folded like a lawn chair
