I know that in the world of ESB, the moment a fighter loses by KO he's automatically considered a bum. But surely he still has a chance to redeem himself, much like Lennox Lewis did after he got KO'd. Lewis was also glass jawed who was KO'd early but was able to bounce back. Just saying that people shouldn't jump to conclusions just yet on Khan. He's got tons of heart, he's got talent, and he's still young so he should have a lot of fight in him. He just needs to change his style a bit to a more defensive approach. Khan is still a good fighter, he was just in there with the better man that night.
+1 Khan still beats most fighters considered at his level His team need to carefully manage him. huge mental blow for him given in devstating unexpected fashion. To take huge shots of Peterson and Maidana buy then get KO'd by a young slow Danny Garcia is wrenching. two massive decisions for Khan for his next fight: possibly movin to 147 Whether to bring back Ariza These could determine his future success.
He's lost 2 in a row. Can become a habit. I wouldnt write him off. But the vunrabilities will always be there
Lol he was knocked the **** out by Breidis back in '08, then just an hour ago was knocked the **** out again by Garcia. Khan will never be anything, he's 25 and after being knocked out twice your chin CANNOT improve it can only get worse. It's over for Glass Khan.
Coming off 2 huge defeats and this last one the beating he took, all's you have to do is look at khans eyes when Bayless stop the fight that their tells it all, a man that has ran out of excuse's a lost man with out a plan.......
He's now had 3 such losing moments two in a devastating fashion so people's opinions are not as impulsive as you make it seem. Khan is shaping up to be another example of an incomplete fighter, with a fatal flaw (glass chin) and all his talents will go to waste because of it. Unless he dramatically changes his style to accommodate this weakness, he'll be susceptible against any hard punching good fighter.
Disagree when you say that in the world of ESB people consider boxers a bum. this is not the case. Unfortuantley Khan has made the same mistakes in his last 4 fights at least. Khan has no ring IQ and does in all fairness have a glass chin. He is not learning from mistakes which is dangerous for him and looks bad on his trainer. Khan maybe able to come back but if he does it will take him a considerable amount of time to get to world level again and to get his confidence back. Khan did not help himself in sparing and looked nervous tonight. He started off well and yes he does have brilliant speed, but he gets careless when under pressure and he needs to sort this. this defeat is no doubt a MASSIVE set back in his career and he will now go back to england and fight lower level boxers to build back up. and thats only if he wants to. Khan no longer belongs at the top of the game- Maidana gave him jipp got KO'd by prescott Peterson did just enough to get the win(a world champion would not let someone do this) and now Garcia, dont get me wrong the above are all quality boxers but if you notice he makes all of the same mistakes and tonight it showed. Its not Roach's fault Khan should of listened. face it he is fuked and his caareer is fuked... He wont get a mayweather fight untill he is 30, he has alot to do to get back as a worthy opponent for a top fighter G
not to mention when i was at the Khan/Maidana fight it was the best fight of the year in my opinion and i honestly thought Khan had changed and had a better chin. but this performance gave me a chilling reminder of the prescott defeat. He has not learnt from those mistakes. he has failed.
Maybe he can argue with the boards that danny came in with 6 toes I don't know but maybe it might work and he can get the fight over turned i don't know.
I been saying for quite awhile he needs to stop trying to be filipino and go with Steward. Tonight just reaffirmed that he's food once you go beyond his jab. Steward likes jabbing robotic stiffs
