I just saw the fight, literally minutes ago, haven't read anything on esb, and my immediate response is, bayless had no reason to stop the fight. khan was totally in his right mind. terrible stoppage.

Sure. Khan was wobbling going backwards on his fight afte Danny hit him hard on his skull. Shots like that can end a persons career.

Why ask Khan to do all that ****, short of touching his toes, only to wave it off anyways? Kind of annoying

agreed. at the point of the stoppage though, khan was ready and able to continue. look at it again. I just saw it 15 minutes ago, with no spoilers. that was a bad stoppage man.

Lol i love the aftermath of fights. None of it matters. Khans chin is still glass, Garcia is still undefeated. And Garcia might win upset/knocked a hype job the **** out of the year award :rofl:rofl:rofl

I don't want to be nasty but Khan looked like a ****** after he got hit with that punch. His face was contorting and he just looked gone. Took a couple of breaths at the end but damn man.

What if Bayless let it continue?

Yeah should've been stopped after the second knockdown, Amir was given long counts both times and was out on his feet. Bayless I think knew it should've already been stopped so he felt guilty and didn't want to be responsible for permanent injuries. The ending was going to come soon after that either way, he made the right call.

He should of stopped it earlier.. if Khan wanted to keep fighting he should of raised his gloves.

definitive end to the fight. this is boxing man. khan was willing and able to continue. he was totally in his right mind. I know i'm just repaeating myself but it's all I can say after that stoppage. what a bad halt to that bout.

Lol @ the excuses. I'm all for criticizing premature stoppages, but Khan would've been seriously hurt if allowed to continue.

You make a good point, if you watch it back khan looks focused on Bayless and is nodding at the instructions and then clearly says he is ok to continue after bayless asks him
Why after doing what bayless asked would he wave it off?
Khan looked in worse shape after the first knockdown and yet the ref allowed it to continue

Khan was done after that 1st kd. He was getting ****ed up by giant hits too. Anymore and he would of gotten ktfo. Though I really liked the first person camera the ref had would of like to seen a fight like that.:bbb
