are you saying garcia could out box khan? anyway i aint deputing the fact the fight was rightfully stopped. but saying it was a domination is taking out of context the whole fight. that's me saying matthyse dominated soto, but he lost the early rounds before his pressure took over.
What are you talking about? Khan looked horrible - I was pretty worried about him. Better to stop it before he got seriously hurt.
I like Khan to win but the rate things were going Ref Bayless was actually doing Khan a favor. He prevented Garcia from inflicting more damage. I lost a bet but no regrets.
agree , bad call... Khan looked clear and followed the refs instructions, then bayless just calls it off for no reason . If he was gonna stop it he should have waved it immediately instead of doing the 10 count. This is a championship fight, there was no 3 knockdown rule , should of let it continue. This is boxing, **** happens, people get knocked down. Marquez got put down 3 times against Pacquiao in the first round and came back. You never know.
No, not at all. If you read my previous posts you'll see I'm of the opinion that Khan could have out-boxed Garcia to a victory - but he wanted to fight. But winning a couple close early rounds and in the process getting tagged with some bombs indicates to me that sooner or later, he was going to get knocked out. Garcia just did it sooner rather than later. And a 4th round KO, after a 3rd round beating and successful heavy shots landed from the outset to me, is a domination; for Garcia.
Refs asks 2 things to fighters who got KD. Are you Ok/Are you willing to go on, Next is gloves up move forward. Obviously Khan didn't moved forward before it was stopped. He just raised his gloves and rest his back against the rope. Good call by Bayless. IMO
sorry but i was saying khan was actually winning the 3rd with 30 seconds left before the knockdown, but yes afterwards khan was doing the chicken dance. and the forth round was can fighting out on his shield and stopped rightfully so.
Roach accepted the stoppage. Can we stop having these stupid threads saying it was a **** stoppage please. I would understand if the threads were being made by Khan Haters wanting him to live a life of complete misery, unable to enjoy his wife or the millions of dollars he's earnt, having to wheeled out as blurbring slurring cabbage. But these threads are coming from Khan "fans" ? What do you sick EVIL guys want to see? Khan to be put to sleep for good?
I say 3rd round beating because that counter left hook really hurt him and it was all downhill from there. I think you're basically wondering whether I think Khan can out-box Garcia, and yes I do.
If any Khan fan is going to keep shouting about bad stoppages then they really have no concern for the boy's welfare. That was a potential disaster last night. Can you imagine Matthyse connecting flush with Amir's mandible?
Bayless gave Khan the benefit of the doubt and see if he can recover. He wasn't satisfied with Khans response he stopped the fight then. Normally it should have been stopped earlier but Bayless considered the circumstances and made the right calls.
You are correct, bad stoppage! But you want to know why? Because the fight should had been stopped after the first knockdown or maybe the second knockdown but because Khan was the favorite, the ref gave him the benefit of the doubt and allowed the fight to continue. Once he was knocked down the first time, the fight was over then! The rest of the fight he fought it with his heart knowing the end was near and he could not change the outcome. At the end of the day, Khan has no excuses this time, like he in his previous fight with Peterson where all he did was ***** and moan like a little kid when the candy gets taken away. **** him! I was happy he got his ass kicked.....
You really believe that? The guy was stepping in post holes from the first knockdown and the rest between rounds did nothing in helping him recover. How many more times did Garcia need to knock him down before the referee stopped it, another 2,3,4 or possibly a solid enough hit to clearly KO him until he could have been counted out with a sun dial??? Obviously you are a Khan fan and not happy your guy got the crap beat out of him for the world to see in living color. Don't get me wrong, I don't think Garcia is anywhere near an elite fighter and I doubt he'll hold the belt long if he steps up to true elite competition, but last night he had enough goods to tap that glass chin enough to get the crown.
