Sadly, I think he will be finished because of his illness, it seems to be really getting bad. That's not funny or anything like that.

He seems to be spread too thin, trying to do way too much. I'm not sure any fighters are getting his full attention at all. He's all over the place. A few years ago I went to some fights at a Casino up here and he was there in the corner of some nobody. He just is trying to do too much, in my opinion.

Although Roach is a very good trainer he is or he does get overrated. Most of his fighters that became world champions already had good skill sets prior to hooking up with Roach:- Hill, Toney, Pacquaio and Khan.

I can't recall any fighter who Roach has developed from the get go.

Roach is just running out of weak opponents to make his fighters look good. Imagine if there were 10plus fighters like Clottey and Margarito. We'd (or you guys) would still be calling Roach the greatest trainer EVER. Now do you see what posters (especially FMJ Fans) have been saying for the past three years. Everyone thought Pacquiao made all these great improvement since moving up in weight. And that he would DESTROY JMM in 6 rounds...right? Remember that? And what did we all see....The same ****ing fighter doing the same ****.

Freddie Roach has been and is possibly still the biggest beneficiary of the Manny Pacquiao hype train, but much like Pacquiao he is being exposed.

Well to be fair Pacquaio HAS improved since his earlier days. He was a one handed fighter, and didn't have the great right hook he has. And one of the biggest improvements has been his defense, his defense is actually good. However... his style of fighting is unorthodox, so he makes the same mistakes as he did prior. He has developed a inside game, never learned to cut off the ring properly so his way of fighting is to try to counterpunch if he can't get to you, but this is not going to work with someone who is a boxer. He never developed a good Jab, and even though he has a right hook, he is always going to be addicted to his left.

He still leaps in and out, to get into the range he likes, and leaves himself open for a counter right. But he has improved and it is ridiculous to suggest otherwise. However, he has been matched carefully at the higher weights. The lower weights he fought the best around, and it just so happens that most of the fighters at those weights are bangers. Sure he couldve fought guzman at one point, and he wouldve been outboxed, but it never happened. But at the higher weights for him, he has been fighting top rank overmatched fighters who were coming off of losses, didn't have the confidence, or had not been in the ring for a whole year. These guys all fought dumb, Cotto fought stupid, where at the other guys only knew how to fight one way. But he hadn't faced a counterpuncher/boxer in years until Marquez.

Roach was utterly dumbfounded after the 3rd round because he was sure Bayless would wave it off. He didn't come up with any useful advice and Amir could see Roach was scared as shitless as he was.

Roach isn't the man you want in your corner when **** gets real.
