    Excellent choice!
Even the music he came down the aisle to was mellow and chilled.

George Benton enjoyed putting himself in the the line of fire and making punches miss by inches. I guess it costed him at times as he was more intent on making opponents miss than making them pay.

    This.

That is one of the most amazing transformations in ring history. Foreman was an impatient, keyed-up and wired-up fighter in his first incarnation who wore himself out by being so tense.

He comes back all those years later and is throwing the same kind of hurt bombs with all the tension of a guy reading his morning paper while having a cup of decaf coffee -- patient, relaxed, but still deadly.

Monzon was the coolest and most relaxed fighter i have seen, even when Briscoe nailed him big time you can clearly see Monzon casually look up at the time left in the round:shock: He's thinking i will get through this round and step it up a little. He had a granite like jaw and i can't imagine what he would've been like had he actually trained properly for a big fight! Monzon's career was 10 years to early, imagine him fighting Leonard, Hearns and Hagler in the 80's?

This is a good call. The difference between the two is staggering in terms of relaxation in that fight. Another fight with a similar contrast is McCallum-Watson. I think much of Watson gassing had to do with him being very tense, while McCallum was as loose as ever.

Other calls would be Sanchez, Whitaker, Jones, Toney and Mayweather. Nunn also.

But the number one for me here might just be Ali. What sets him apart is how relatively relaxed he was even when Frazier and Foreman had him on the ropes. There is so little tension and unneccessary movement. And that was the key to him outlasting Foreman while on the ropes and being able to come back in the late rounds in Manilla after being hammered by Frazier in the corner for several rounds. The one opponent he could look surprisingly tense against was Norton. I can't remember one round against Norton where he looked truly at ease.

Foreman the sequel was about as relaxed a fighter as I've ever seen.

    James Toney was as well.

jack johson surrounded in the ring by 10-30000 white men, toying with his opponent, throwing a cheeky smile every 5 seconds, i think that is relaxed as it comes, foreman 2 and toney are good shouts though.

    Not Really,

I saw the guy panic like a 'frightened turtle' when Russian Heavyweight
Igor Vysotsky nailed him with a right hand.
