based on seeing Shavers getting absolutely ****ed up by Quarry, i'm positive that Haye would do well.
Poor david would die in the first few minutes from jabs alone. I think Mr. Haye would be dehydrated from pissing himself .
I think David would do well because of his speed, but he would not be able to potshot the whole fight because Earnie can box a bit. Both can be hurt, but neither has a terrible chin. Watching Earnie against Holmes -he boxed pretty well against a young Holmes that is light years ahead of Haye as a boxer. Can't say for sure 100%, but I'd favor Shavers 80/20.
Look at these nostalgiatards acting as if Shavers was anywhere near to a great fighter He was nothing but a journeyman with a punch, no skills, no stamina, weak chin... I favour Haye over Shavers' overrated ass
Both big punchers with poor chins and questionable stamina. Whoever lands first! With Haye's superior reflexes, skills and speed I'd go with Haye!
Shavers has a puncher's chance as he would against anyone, but Haye is a much better boxer than Shavers. Don't overrate Earnie just because he fought in the 70's, most of his wins came against bottom-tier guys.
