shows what a lucky punch it was lol he isn't even looking lmao this reminds me of lewis vs mccall punch
That punch wouldn't of landed if Khan had his hands up in the first place, give Garcia credit and move on with Khan's lost. Garcia was there to trade punches and he has the chin to deal with them Khan not so much, his strong points are his boxing and athletic abilities.
No such thing as a "lucky punch". Anyone who has ever boxed understands that even when you throw looping shots and aren't looking when the punch lands, it doesn't mean it's a lucky punch. Sometimes you can feel where your opponent is because of distance and experience. Garcia was landing those shots from round one, so I think that it was a perfectly timed left hook after Khan threw a right uppercut that left him open. Because of the way Khan was fighting, so aggressive, he was bound to get caught sooner or later.
Garcia was throwing those same hooks all throughout the fight against Morales. He didn't appear to be watching where they were aimed then - obviously not fluke hit and hope shots.
He was landing that shot all night... He knew exactly where it was going and also had to avoid getting hit by Khan's left. It's called: "KTFO and move" The only lucky person in that ring is Khan. He did not die.
i disagreed with the eventual stoppage, but this should have been stopped right here. Haha, the ref gave him an extra 6 seconds to answer him, and when khan couldnt lift his gloves up, he did it for him.
It´s his favorite and also his best punch. It wasn't like he threw it for the first time in the fight. He did it multiple times. After the fight he even explained how they had trained for it. Same thing with Martinez. Some weeks before the Williams rematch Sarmiento decided to go with a new game plan and that was the punch that took Williams out. The same punch that Martinez landed a dozen times before the KO.
