Well we know the likes of Riddick Bowe had some great inside skills for a big guy but are there any others who you would say fit this as well?
Lennox Lewis had a very solid inside game with his grabbing/wrestling tactics and huge right uppercut (what he did to Grant in close was memorable.) He certainly preferred to keep his opponents at a distance, but he could be devastating at close range too.
Carlos Zarate worked fantastically inside. He was a great body puncher and could uppercut worth either hand.
What he did to Grant was a certainly not Queensberry rules though. I think he scored 4 KDs, and 3 of them were blatant fouls. He was perhaps lucky the referee didn't know or care about the rules. I'd say he had a good "inside game" too (as does Wladimir). He wasn't much of a inside fighter though.
..sandy saddler.....because he was so tall and slim he knew his opponents would want to come inside on him....so he became a great...and rough...infighter.....and they didn't stay in there long. as a middleweight ezzard charles was tall at six feet and was an excellent infighter even that early in his career. this came in handy when he got o the higher divisions and gave away height and reach himself.
Riddick Bowe, Riddick Bowe, Riddick Bowe... yeah, I know we are all supposed to rave over his inside game, but it was partly this same game that caused him to absorb huge shots and be done by 29. A six foot five guy with 82 inch reach fighting down to his opponents limitations. Bravo.
