it isn't about chin. if you leave yourself open to be hit with that clean a punch you will go down. This was not like McCallum Curry where Mike timed him. Khan was sloppy in this fight and the Peterson fight and others. He does not have a fight plan and does not work behind his jab to open up landing his punches. So he throws punches wild and at that point he is always in range to be hit, regardless of the guy being slower.

thats the jist of it. Thanks for the intelligent contribution. Most people prefer to just harp on about China chin yadda yadda. Fact is those were huge shots, if anyone lets themselves eat huge shots repeatedly like that, they are gonna get dropped, China Chin or not.

****! You would have THOUGHT that Khan's OBVIOUS glass jaw getting SHATTERED for a second time by somebody he was supposed to beat might lead some of you "that punch woulda KOd anybody" doofuses to WAKE UP.:patsch

But no, they still like to prattle on with their uprovable and ridiculous nonsense that it somehow wasn't Khan's abysmally weak chin that led to this second brutal starching. If you actually believe that, I've got a nice bridge to sell you!!!:lol:

I got news for you, glass jaw denier. China chins exist in boxing, and Amir Khan has one of the worst that has ever been seen on a top rated fighter. Guys with good chins don't get laid out like this, certainly not multiple times.

If any fighter warrants the title of glass jaw it's Khan. Shocking punch resistance. ****, his whole cranial area is as fragile as a little boy's. He makes Enzo Mac look like David Haye.

He is hardly known for it, his KO percentage is barely over 50 percent.

Khan has made a career out of facing guys with low KO percentages. Why? Because his management KNOWS he can't take punch, they knew all along. I was pointing this out YEARS ago.

So yeah, if people are saying Garcia is some hard hitter off this fight, you're damn straight his power is being overrated.

Khan got KOd for one reason and ONE REASON ONLY - his Grade AAAA china chin. PERIOD.:deal

    but but Zak,

Khan just has bad defense and he didn't see the punch coming and he didn't have Alex Ariza and he just needs to work on his Defense it is everything but his Chin :rofl:patsch

Do these idiots on here think Hagler, LaMotta, Chuvalo, etc. saw every punch coming they got hit with?:rofl That has ZERO to do with it. If Khan had even an average Chin it wouldn't matter if his Defense was awful or not the Chin would be the second line of defense.

Khan has a Glass Jaw as the ChinCheckers have pointed out all these excuses don't even make sense like I just pointed out. If you have bad Defense it doesn't matter as long as your Chin is decent you can take the punches. Khan has one of the worst Glass Jaws in the sport and no trainer is going to be able to fix it. The kid is not a fighter and needs to retire before he gets seriously hurt.

stop bein a silly ***** lol. Im not even remotely a Khan fan. The point im trying to make is that its Khan lack of defense and not his chin that is his greatest liability.

If you go into the ring, dont play to your strengths, fighting in an over aggressive manner when you dont have the power to back it up, while COMPLETELY neglecting your own safety, you are gonna get dropped. It might not happen against everyone, but you are gonna run into guys that are gonna put your ass down and out. Dosent matter if you are Khan or ANYONE, you fight in a manner that you have no business fighting in and someone is gonna eventually come along and put a hurting on you.

As I said in my previous post, Khans chin isnt good but thats not whats holding him back. Its his **** defense and ring IQ that is costing him.

Like I and others have said, if he had a good chin - like, say Oliver McCall - it wouldn't matter if he had crappy defense. He'd be able to take the shots!!!

Sure, if he improved his defense, he might be able to avoid getting starched in some fights, but I highly doubt all of them. Khan isn't at a level like Wlad Klitschko or Lennox Lewis, where he has enough punch resistance so that it takes somebody landing a decent shot to do it. He gets wobbled by all kinds of light-hitting fighters. Check out some of his early fights against like Michael Gomez or Willie Limond if you don't believe me.
