does danny hit harder than maidana/peterson? or was it a perfect shot?

He hits harder than both

 

Maidana hits harder than both guys, he was tired by this point it has already been an exhausting fight by this point, plus Cortez was on Khans side.

 

Maidana probably hits harder, but Danny is better at landing his powershots.

 

Garcia hits harder and is more skilled. He'd been working on timing that shot the whole fight. It was NOT a lucky punch. Khan pulled a major dumbass and led with a hook, and had his right down, Garcia knew exactly what to do with that, that shows his ring smarts and skill, and how dumb Khan is inside the ropes. He should have been jabbing and moving, getting off and getting out, but instead he stood in front, led with a hook and got tagged by the smarter man who has a wicked left hook for a 140 lber.

 

thank God you're here. I was able to go on a tangent about this, but was on my phone earlier. I wanted to post this a few times in different threads.

 

Two extremes in that post. I don't think he hits harder than Maidana, might be on par with Peterson (or higher), but it was the placement and angle of the punch that Khan didn't see coming which had him reeling.

He hits harder than Peterson, but not harder than Maidana. His timing is better than Maidana, so that helped. Khan was lucky Cortez was protecting his ass in the Maidana fight because he would have been out as well.

 

Maidana's "power" has always been grossly overrated. And even then, he basically had Khan out on his feet in their fight.

The bottom line is Khan's chin is pure china, and that's why he got knocked out.

 

He absolutely hits harder than Peterson. Peterson is pretty featherfisted at the elite level; he was hitting Khan solidly plenty in their fight and still couldn't put him down or away.

As for Maidana, it's closer. Maybe Maidana hits harder in brute force, but Garcia appears to have much better timing, punch placement, and slightly better handspeed.

Garcia possibly hits harder than both, and for sure hits harder than Peterson. Peterson has negligible power at the world level, much like Bradley.

Then why Maidana couldnt drop Morales when García did?

Maidana hits hardest but doesnt have the precision or the hand speed or timing Garcia had

Garcia had a great set up and took it

 

Morales was at different stages of his career when he fought each of them. In one fight he was making a comeback. In the other, he couldn't even make weight.
