The money punch was on his neck not chin. Not saying his chin is great but not as bad as people making it out, Peterson and Maidana beat the **** out of him without him going down. Sometimes you also have to respect the shot which puts you down, it was well placed on neck Khan senses/balance must of got ****ed shot.
And de la hoya looked **** after letting go of Robert Alcazar in the vargas fight he was doing the shoulder roll and couldn't even pull it off, mayweather was shouting at him to keep doing it and he got in serious trouble, once he reverted back to his old left hook happy bouncing style he knocked vargas the **** out. under sr oscar had his worst performances. and lets not forget sr doing orthodox padwork with hatton training for pacquiao and bringing in sparring partners like erislandy lara.
When i say chin, what i actually mean (like most people on here i would imagine) is just general punch resilience. Now, back to the question i asked. all **** takes aside, do you really think Khan would beat Miguel Cotto?
:rofl:rofl:roflatsch a punch to the neck does not affect balance you mong, part of the glove landed on the point of the chin below the sideburns region omg you are deluded
Again the Khan who used to land fast combo and flee vs in my view a shot version of Cotto could beat him. Cotto at 147 would be a little drained to but like the Manny fight, if Khan went toe to toe like the Garcia fight same thing would happen a KO loss. I feel Khan on the move being carefull is a tall ask for anyone, it's just in the head Khan has a problem.
it wasnt too hard for lamont peterson, cotto would time khans reckless flurries, if garcia could time him cotto could do it in his sleep
He wouldn't live to tell the story of fighting Cotto mate. You think in a full 12 round fight Miguel couldn't get to him? It would be a massacre, and i doubt Khan would fight again.
Agree with everyting youve said. I saw that on Ringside to. Khan was like countless footballers who are unable to think to themselves. He didnt have a clue how to answer Nelsons question from a technical standpoint. If he doesnt know or understand what he is doing wrong, its going to be impossible to fix. I am not a massive Khan fan, but I respect that fact he wants to put exciting fights on for the fans. Like ive said already, his vulnerability is one of his major assets from a fans point of view. If he adopted the Kotelnik approach to every fight, people would still tune in for the what if he gets tagged element.
Go Getta You keep on referencing this NECK shot, so let me correct what i have said previous. Khan has a glass chin AND a glass neck.
On the move don't mean hanging on the ropes and taking shots, Cotto don't bring that type of reckless pressure anyway, he moves slow around the ring.
you do know a punch to the neck does nothing to your senses, balance and coordination, since your hellbent on thinking his chin is not as bad as everyone says by claiming the punch which put khan on his arse and on ***** street was bang on the neck here is a slow mo for you, as you can see it hits the chin and as you can see from the way khan got up and mentions to kenny bayless "i dont want to get up for school today mommy" he was clearly disabled by the punch which landed on the neck and of course his china chin. You are a terrible poster with about as much intelligence as that man in your avatar [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIc710gna6o[/ame]
