If you guys got a bit of time here's the article where I got the picture from, Check it...

US Citizenship and Immigration Services does, however, accuse Angulo of having violated immigration law. This is the reason “Perro” has been detained since January 18 at the Immigration Service Processing Center in El Centro, California, 15 minutes away from Mexicali, Mexico, where he was born. Angulo was deported from the US in 2006 due to extending his stay on American soil beyond the expiration of his visa; he later re-entered the country illegally. In an attempt to clear up his problems with the US authorities, he turned himself in at the Detention Center.

But the process has turned out to be unlike anything he or his attorney Kelly O’Reilly thought it would be. He has now been detained for 5 months. “I never thought it would take this long. This is, frankly, just crazy”, says Angulo, speaking in an interview with the ESPN Deportes boxing show ‘Golpe a Golpe’ (video in Spanish here). The segment allows us to see a long-bearded Angulo speak in a humble tone about his situation, adopting a cheerful mood when talking about his hopes for the future, and becoming tearful when admitting he wasn’t able to attend his six-year-old daughter’s first ballet recital due to his detention.

In detention he keeps receiving news about the world of boxing, and of the particularly hot 147 and 154 pounds divisions. He heard of Floyd’s big win over Cotto, of the Pacquiao-Bradley controversy, and of Josesito López’s shocking upset over Ortiz. He can’t help but feel he’s missing out on some very big opportunities. Even with defensive flaws in his style, he’s a very entertaining fighter who would undoubtedly get at least a couple of big fights his way if only he weren’t trapped inside the Detention Center. But at 29 years old, he should still get the chance to rebuild and become a force at 154 pounds when regains his freedom.

Alfredo and his attorney Kelly O’Reilly speak of injustices in Angulo’s migratory process, specifically pointing the finger at the director of the Center. They blame him for delaying hearings and of purposely making life harder for Angulo than it should be. “Perro” talks of how he has been–seemingly arbitrarily–denied bail: ”Most of the people here, because they haven’t done anything criminal either in the States or in Mexico, they’re all given the chance to post bail. And I was supposed to get that chance as well, but the director wouldn’t allow it. Three days after I arrived here, he told my lawyer that he would never let me get out of here. Why? I don’t know. Does he have anything personal against me? I don’t know him, I honestly have no idea who he is.”

His attorney O’Reilly agrees that the time it has taken for the Center to process Angulo’s case is excessive, and that there has been unnecessary “drama”. In spite of the adversity faced, he remains optimistic about Angulo’s chances, and mentions the Mexican fighter qualifies for immigration relief, which would earn Angulo immigration benefits. He’s hopeful that after they bring the case to court, the judge will rule in their favour. The most likely scenario, according to the lawyer, is that Angulo will remain detained for 60 more days and will then regain his freedom, as well as the chance to get in a ring in front of a paying audience before 2012 is over.

    Angulo-Kirkland was a scorcher of a fight

When given the chance to speak directly to his fans, Alfredo’s words are heartfelt: “Once all this is behind me, whenever people see my name on a billboard again, they know they’ll get a good show. When will that happen? I don’t know (laughs). But once again I want to thank the people that keep loving me, and keep supporting me. It’s a very big satisfaction for me to know that people that don’t know me still care for me as a person. The love fans have for me, it’s something I will never be able to repay. All I can do is say thanks and to keep training strong, until my body can’t take it anymore, so I can give them a great show.” –Rafael García Quiñones
