didn't watch it nor saw any headlines until just now. and forgot it was on actually too as i'm just not fussed about khan vs the great fighters atm.
i actually feel sorry for him... imagine having all the skills in the world but knowing that one punch can end you... he is forced to try get guys out of there early and it ultimately leaves him open when he wears down in the later rounds. The kid has amazing heart, speed, power and determination but a chin like Herbie Hide. I am not a Khan fan really, dont mind him but no nuthuggery. However, i think even at 140 the guy isnt at his best. I reckon at 147 we will see him with better stamina and no potential weight draining. He needs to flick Roach... Roach is trying to turn him into Manny which is the aggressive take 2 punches to give 5 and for Khan this doesnt work. He needs a coach like Cus was to Tyson... more about head movement, angles, defense and speed to avoid getting hit with those right hands. The shot that Garcia ****ed him up with was a rookie error... Kahn was countering but ddint keep his other hand up. Somewhere along the line the basics have been skipped
Never really liked Khan. For some reason he's always annoyed me. His chin makes him a ? in every fight.
I ain't much of a fan of his twat either Kel but I gotta disagree with you there that lhail Mary left bomb he ate would have KO"d most @ 140 he done well to beat the count IMO , Khan neeeds an easy confidence booster and get his ass to 147lbs and off hire Roach as the good doctor suggests IMO also .
I dont like him either, too arrogant, but he could have won that fight against Garcia with his eyes closed and one hand tied behind his back, He was looking for the knock out from the 1st minute. I think Garcia's Dads quote about never having seen a ****stani that could fight got Khan too pumped up and angry, He could have out boxed him very very easily but he just went in there with the sole purpose of trying to destroy Garcia and make a point, it back fired on him.
Old man Garcia was shitting bricks in the corner between the 2nd and 3rd rounds, his son had no answers and he knew it, I still can't believe Khan fought like that, he had zero respect for Garcia..... That'll teach him to respect all his opponents I guess.
That doesn't surprise me but it would make for some good dollars for Garcia....... I guess the old man knows Khan has the potential to cut his son up over 12rds boxing a smarter fight next time.
