Danny Garcia is STILL a basic plodder

  1. Honestly at this point I still have to go with Matthyse, knocking out glass jawed Khan with a one hitter quiter is one thing, I mean Prescott did a better job already on Khan and look how he turned out

Matthyse is more proven, hits harder and will make it a war, Danny will be game but it's Matthyses game

So what? Khan is STILL a glass jaw fraud.

  3. Yes, you are exactly right, it was always just a case of who would touch that AAA China first, and it turned out to be this kid. That **** ain't gonna work on a hard **** like Matthyse.

Garcia didn't even like khans pitty pat shots, what's he gonna do when Matthyse touches him with shots that HURT you

A puncher that can take a punch and like Alvarado and Mathysse will break Danny down. Not hating on the kid, all credit due to Garcia. He's a tough kid, but has many many flaws. Win or lose, Danny will give a very entertaining fight with anyone. He has heart!

 I'd love to see him vs Rios or Matthys... JMM would be tough, but very good fight still.

    He beats Rios
    Matthys is a 50/50 fight
JMM I lean towards the veteran, but it would be good.

I can't call him a genius just yet. But he did damage both Morales and Khan with his beautifully timed left hook. When something happens consistently you can't call it luck or a fluke. He beat the guy whom everyone thought was super special. Therefore he's worth talking about. He's got a nice at chance at becoming the 140 lb king if he isn't already. He's not the fastest. He's not the most skilled. What makes him special is his ability to adjust. When he took away Khan's right hand Amir had no answers other than to jump in with mindless attacks.

Tired of people discrediting Garcia. You don't have to be a nuthugger, but damn, give the dude some credit. Khan was fighting like he always has which got him pretty damn far (why change suddenly?). Maidana and a roided Peterson were both knocked down in the first round by Khan. But Garcia stood his ground and wasn't overwhelmed. That just goes to show you how good his chin and poise are.

Just rewatched the Dani-Amir fight. Dani was in control the entire time. He's a lot smarter than given credit for. He's not slick, but his defense was great. Amir didn't really land anything meaningful on him.

In that exchange that was the beginning of the end, he used a head feint in reaction to Amir's wild hook to bait a right uppercut out of Amir. Then we all know what happened.

He laid all kinds of traps for Amir to create openings for counters, even trying Rigondeaux and Mayweatheresque type of movies.

He may not be the smartest, but he's definitely thinking in there. Dani is young and still has time to improve. People that are expecting him to be some kind of cakewalk for future opponents are going to be disappointed.

Dani would just slightly move his head back to make Amir's jab miss then land his own timed jab on the recoil. Amir is very basic and done the moment you take away his jab.

    This kid is very underrated.

I reckon he can beat anybody. The only type of boxer that can beat him is someone that can seriously hurt him. Khan could not hurt Garcia and that spelled the end for Amir. But put him with someone that can snap his head back and forth, will make him think twice. Someone like that is a match for Garcia.Other wise this kid will take his time, and systematically take you out of there, if he doesn't respect your power.

Well most people don't know **** about boxing. Garcia is an excellent fighter, so many people can recognise athleticism but it seems almost nobody can recognise boxing skills.
I beg people to watch the fight again and ignore the commentary and the ridiculous compubox numbers. Garcia won every round against Khan, All Khan could hit was Garcia's arms.
Garcia parried and countered everything, I can't believe some people believe Khan dominated those first 2 rounds. Probably the same people who scored every round for Pac against Bradley i.e. people who don't know boxing and/or have to be told what to see by HBO.

Bradley punched like a girl though it seems.Maybe a chic punched harder than that guy.How can you score with those

kinds of pitty pat ****? Looked like what Amir was throwing pitty pat shots as well. Pacquiao was drilling him with hard shots had

him twirling like a ballerina at one stage.Garcia punches like a Bowss Dawg!

Exactly. Most of kahns shots were blocked by danny with his arms on the glove and only got through once or twice to cut danny but it never phased him.

The commentators sucking khan's dick every time he raised his arm definitively skewed peoples view of the fight - leading naive idiots and khan fanboys to believe khann was in control until he was hit by some ''lucky'' out of the ordinary random shot.

The truth is danny was landing hard clean shots on khan from round one, just didn't get any credit for it and wasn't spelled out to joe public more the commentators.

you guys are dummies!!! garcia is no basic plodder and he had **** under control from the get go. You could tell from round 1 that he was able to get to Khan and it was only matter of time. And no the Morales fight was not close, competetive? yeah sure but Garcia won clearly and was nedver in danger of being down on the cards.

Garcias a good fighter and an A level dude just short of elite, he'll be around for while.....solid in all areas and a good chin and heart to handle the dudes who outskill him in certain areas....he's a problem for slicksters cause of his heart, power and chin and a problem for brawlers cause he's a decent boxer. He fought pretty good defensively vs Khan, by the 2nd round he was blocking/parrying and slipping most of Khans assaults. Very well schooled all around solid dude! I like the kid
