Yes, it was part of the deal when Vitali signed to fight Adamek. Rafael mentioned this and it was mentioned when the contract was signed too. HBO rejected the Chisora fight and if Vitali wasn't retiring, they'd certainly reject this too. However, as it's his retirement bout, they have no choice.
You got a link for that? :huh Not saying you are making it up but the deal for the Klitschkos and HBO was since they were showing the Haye fight they were asked to show the Vitali-Adamek fight also which they did. I am not so sure about an extra fight that makes no sense.......
Haye's ducking Vitali as you're well aware. There's not much I can do about that. "I'm told reason @Klitschko is on @HBOboxing 9/8 is because HBO exercised an option it had for future Klitschko fights in Vitali-Adamek deal." I could try and find a link from pre-Vitali/Adamek but that pretty much confirms it anyway, just in fewer words. HBO aren't interested in seeing this fight. They're just contractually obligated to show a Klitschko bout and as he's retiring, it has to be the fight against Charr. Somehow, I doubt that K2 made it clear to HBO that they'd be fighting such a poor opponent.
Vitali promised a fight with Haye, if Haye beat Chisora. Haye beat Chisora and Vitali is choosing to fight Charr instead. It's clear cut. Vitali has ducked Haye.
OK but it says HBO exercised an option as in it was their choice not that they are being forced to show this fight. And it says "future Klitschko fights" I know they were wanting to show a Wlad-Arreola fight if it happened and Arreola is now going to wait for the WBC belt to be open instead which is why we are getting this fight instead I think...... Either way it is hilarious and awesome they are showing this fight.
So Vitali is supposed to pull out of the Charr fight to accommodate Haye who had first option of that fight in the first place? :huh The timelines don't even match up for what you are claiming :-(
If he was interested in fighting the winner of Haye/Chisora, why would he sign to fight Charr before it had even happened? That's just the same as ducking, without question. He's not supposed to pull out, no, what he's supposed to do is not sign another fight. If Mayweather said to Pacquiao "I'll fight you in 6 months" and then the week later, he signed to fight someone else which made that 6 month deal impossible, it'd be a blatant duck. Why is Vitali not held accountable for ducking Haye? K2 were the ones who proposed Haye/Chisora. That was their request. Haye did everything they asked, knowing that if he beat Chisora, a fight with Vitali would happen. Somewhere along that process, Vitali decided to fight Charr instead because he's scared of losing.
I disagree......We both know HBO is only willing to put on a few Heavyweight Klitschko fights they have stated that in the past. They are willing to show Wlad vs Arreola, Either brother vs Mitchell when he is ready and were willing to show Wlad vs Povetkin but I am pretty sure they would not even show that fight now that ship has sailed. There are limited options here because the Division is weak and the brothers are so much better than everyone else. We are getting this fight because Arreola is going in a different direction as they were talking about a fight in Nov or December in Madison Square Garden or the new Barclay's Center in Brooklyn.
Jack I am going to put this as nicely as possible Haye embarrassed himself in front of the World and the only people who are talking him up again are the Brits because you are so gullible and will fall for anything. I am a huge Vitali fan and I do not want to sit through another Valuev or Wlad type fight from Haye. The guy is all talk and is only in it for a retirement check. If he was serious he would want to fight Wlad again to avenge his embarrassing loss. Haye beating Chisora hasn't changed anything to anyone outside of the UK.
