    This.

There was no bell at all, which is why the announcers didn't hear it. The ref stopped the round with 12 seconds to go, and just BEFORE the "10 second" claps. It looks to me like he signaled "rabbit punch" which is of course absurd. I think he meant to stop the round to give Chisora a BS warning (and really to protect Haye) but the fighters misinterpreted it as the end of the round.

The ref was CLEARLY protecting Haye, who was indeed rocked badly.

This same ref, a little bit later, called Chisora out at the count of EIGHT, even though he was up, seemed lucid, and had his gloves up.

How much more obvious does it have to be?

    ----------

I'm still amazed the Chisora camp haven't raised a protest. They must have been paid off.

Haye was caught with a good hook and "seemed" to walk it off well. There was a chance that Chisora could have capitalized but we'll never know. Also, the fight was definitely stopped prematurely.

If Haye was in ***** street in the 3rd what sort of street was chisora in the 5th?? the round ended early yes,but a bell DID ring, and the ref was stepping in too stop the fighters before chisora landed the big left...Haye was moving back, took the shot, smiled and walked back to the corner. ***** street is when you take a five punch combo flush in the face and fall to the floor like a sack of **** with your eyes in the back of your head.

Looked like Haye was off balance to me, although was a decent shot. As for the stoppage, I can see why people think Chisora could of been given the break between rounds to recover, but he had just taken 5 massive clean shots to the head and hit the deck in a big way.

    Chisora was done

He would have been in danger going into the next round, and the most important thing to realise is he did not complain or protest the stoppage once, in the ring or afterward.

If it was premature Chisora and certainly Frank ****** would have complained. Haye had found his range and the next round would have lead to the inevitable anyway. Chisora didnt look 'all there' after the 2nd knockdown.

Also the fact this thread title has managed to get a 'discussion' on this really undermines the credibility of this site. ***** STREET..the ref had pushed Haye back as he separated them and Chisora landed as he did so=stumble, then clean walk to the corner. End of. fcking hell some people are clutching for Haye to be discredited here

Incorrect. Watch it again. Chisora tagged Haye with a solid shot BEFORE the ref stepped in, and the ref did NOT push Haye at all, Haye went back trying to avoid the next punch, which of course landed.

He wasn't "on ***** street," but he was quite possibly in trouble. We'll never know, thanks to the ref who has no business stepping in.

Like I wrote earlier, the ref was signaling that Chisora threw a rabbit punch (which he CLEARLY did not) which means the ref was looking to protect Haye.

The ref was looking to protect Haye-well he would if he thought a rabbit punch was thrown....

The ref had business stepping in as he thought the bell rang and possibly he thought there was a foul-even Sky commentary said no one could hear the bell properly due to the noise and the ref in the follwing round signalled to the bell ringer it needs to be louder next time. God forbid the ref misjudge a punch and seek to prevent an illegal blow being used.

Now fck off with the conspiracy, there isnt one. Haye battered him
