I've said it before The reason nobody boxes here is because life is too good, men don't need to risk life & limb, boxing is a sport that thrives in **** countries or disadvantaged societies If Australia went to ****, no doubt you'd find boxing springing up like it did in the past, it's just not a sport that even fits into the conscious of most people, big young fellas take their aggression out in sports like union or league & afl I've no doubt if it gained popularity that we'd excell, you only have to look around at the large amount of big, aggressive young blokes getting around from all types of backgrounds, far more so than the uk
yeah i reckon your right mate and also Team Sports like footy and soccer and so on are much cheaper too play most people dont have a spare 80 to 100 bucks a month too put there kids in boxing and Martial Arts i know i dont
I agree, nice overview of boxing in Australia. G, some guys only box for fitness and to have a go in the end becoming a boxing promoters show...We have the likes of Geale, Katsidis and Green that have given it their best with Geale still in a league of his own.
