Good fight, Froch stops him late on in a barnburner of a fight.

Froch takes him out around round 7, Pavliks strength is exactly that, his strength.

He loses all of his advantages against Froch, plus he hasn't been in with a top fighter for several years.

**** pavlik this fight is **** imo
if he really wanted to make the fight though just throw in a fridge full of bud

  7. Pavlik is done

He has been looking **** against nobodys in his last few fights

Froch would probably 'bute' him quick

Carl will stop him if he's in the form of the Bute fight, Pavlik has looked average in his comeback. Froch could really put it on him and get him out of there around the 5th.

Easier fight for him. Not as appealing as Kessler but whatever, you can't criticise Froch at all. Although we all know one man has been the reason for this fight - it ain't Kessler, it's Eddie Hearn.

I reckon Froch wanted Kessler(as did most fans) but Eddie know this is an easier money fight in comparison, get Froch(and himself) money in the bank, wait for Kessler next year, less risk yet good reward, he should take care of this. He is a promoter and they are not prone to moving from the old easy-first-defence route. So as much as he is "the saviour of boxing", he is making this fight.

Froch would be a heavy fav for this.

Kelly just hasnt looked impressive against B level competiton. Froch is the 2nd best in the division and I could see him really working Kelly over. Pavlik is tougher than Bute and he might be able to grit his teeth and last to the bell but I can see how Froch would loose, He can box his power is good and his chin and stamina are good, to be me Kelly looks old in the ring - tired almost... While Froch even tho hes not a young bloke has lived the life and i think still has a fair bit in the tank

    Say it went like this:

    Pavlik
    Bute II
    Kessler II

then retire, all 3 wins. That's some way to end your career and enhance your resume.

Pavlik's still easy to hit, You saw that Bute didn't have a second phase defence and nor does Pavlik. Carl can do what he did to Bute and put shots together and really back Pavlik up who seems to now just be fighting off left hook to body.

Styles make fights. This could be a wild, explosive, shoot-out.

This could be a bit of fun while we wait for Bute II or Kessler II. I'd go and see this if it's in Nottingham.
