I think so, and it only adds to his legacy.

His brother,Vitali's comeback is the most impressive out of the two.

    He surprised me.
Following the Brewster fight, I thought he was on his way to be cannon fodder for up-and-coming fighters. His performance against Williamson didn't do anything to make me think otherwise either, and I thought Sam Peter would probably knock him out back in 2005.
He's won every fight comfortably ever since then, against all-comers.

He has done extremely well considering the manner of his defeats but id say the low quality of opposition prevents him from being the best and biggest comeback.George Foreman for one is a bigger story.

No way, especially the garbage opposition he's beat in his comeback

I agree. Watching the film made me feel that especially. He was done after Brewster.

Outside of Holyfield, I would say Wlad has faced and beat stronger competition than comeback Foreman.

But hard to compare the two, one was in his 40s and had been retired for many years.

Foreman's is a greater comeback. Because he was coming back from a 10-year retirement.

Wlad's career is more than a comeback, it's the fullfilment and surpassment of the highest expectations in spite of those 2 very unexpected defeats (in 2003 and '04).

He struggled but many of the great ones did. It is only because we have come to expect greatness from the beginning of a pro career and shiny unbeaten records from the likes of Wladimir Klitschko (an Olympic gold medalist) that he was seen as an utter failure after the several losses he had.

I will admit though that with 40+ professional fights behind him and being in his late 20's, it was difficult to imagine him becoming a dominant force after such devastating losses.

Lennox Lewis had similar stumbles though.

I think Foremans is a greater comeback story for sure when you consider the factors... Although the oppisition wasnt as tough its still a much greater story IMO.

Louis and Lewis had great comebacks, although less hiccups than Wlad. Braddock's comeback is a pretty amazing one. And ofcourse Douglas's comeback after the Tucker KO loss

Lets face it, he really hasnt faced anyone of threat to him since losing to the Brewster level guys. Maybe Sam Peter, but he was a can too. He learned to fight cautiously against a poor group of threats so I dont really think of it as any kind of great accomplishment, no fighter has had good enough ability to force him out of his comfort zone, where we would see his flaws that still very much exist.

The idea that everyone Wlad has faced since his last loss is somehow just plain worse than Brewster and Sanders is hard to swallow.

Than we have that whole weird argument that " he is not good, others are just not as good to expose how not good he is"..and my head just hearts.
