So in essence Valuev had a better chin than say Liston and Foreman ? I think that is laughable ! And he only staggered Valuev ,anyone can be staggered as long as you hit the right spot ! And yes it is debatable because all he KO ed was bums !
Haye hits harder but he is the proof that it's ridiculous to say that Ali and the old HWs wouldn't be successful today he is the same size as Ali and is still beating any HW besides the Klits. The only HW today who would have a chance against prime Ali is Wlad
Sorry but yes, I'm pretty ****ing sure Valuev has a better chin than Liston and Foreman. Are you actually being serious? the guy weighs bout 350 lbs and has a head like a ****ing disco ball made out of concrete, and it wasn't the chin Haye hit him on. Stop being such a fanboy and accept that someone in this day and age does infact punch harder than your idol.
As a 1 punch hitter, I would say D Haye. I doubt Ali would fair to well in this modern era, though his fantastic chin would carry him into the 2nd half against the Klitschkos
I wouldn't know.Pituitary giants, similar to SNV, like Abe Simon and Primo Carnera, with big skulls, had their chins cracked a few times in their career. There's a bit more to taking a punch than a big skull, though off course it helps enormously. The problem with a question like this on the surface it's an easy answer Haye hits harder. But, his technique is horrible. As a boxer you learn early that you can't throw punches as hard as you can because you will miss and or get countered. So, you take some power off in lieu of accuracy. Haye power might appear to diminish if he had better technique.
Get the **** outta here, what makes Haye a great athlete? The fact that he lifts weights? His cordination/balance is **** and his stamina is worse.
This thread has certainly wound the Ali fans up! I bet that Ali would admit himself that punch power was his weakest attribute. Haye punches miles harder than Ali did! Absolutely no contest! Haye would not have stopped Foreman though IMO! There's no way that Foreman would have been quick enough to trap Haye against the ropes and as a result would not punched himself out! Haye would play it safe and win on points OR George would catch him and knock Haye out!
It hasnt "wound" anybody up. there has been countless heavys that punch harder than Ali. Whats the point of asking that.
