I'm no lieutenant or even a foot soldier in Khan's Army, but he was dominating Garcia. Garcia got some licks in, but he was getting owned. Khan opened up a cut that would have gotten worse and worse, perhaps forcing a stoppage. And after the 2nd round, Angel Garcia was in panic mode, but kept calm for the sake of his son.

"Come on, Danny... come on... you're getting picked apart, man... come on, Danny, come on..."

Yup. He got caught. Doesn't mean he wasn't dominating up until the stoppage.

    And?

Garcia was quite one dimensionally countering him from round 1 through to the third round, and Khan was dumb enough to walk right into a simple left hook counter.

In fact, not only did he walk into it, he bounced into it with his hands down.

No excuses, no lucky shot, just knocked senseless.

Danm, Danny turned over that left hook & landed just like in the gym.
(Khan might aswell have had some punching mitts on)

I believe it was also after the second that his dad gave him the "more crispy" advice, which was highly effective.

Dude, I could see the point of this thread if Khan dominated Garcia for 11 rounds and THEN got ktfo, but after 3? I dont know man...

you can dominate 35 minutes and 59 seconds of a fight but if you get knocked the **** out in the last second thats all that matters

he wasnt dominating. Khan won round one, round 2 was closer but i think Khan edged it. then he started getting tagged in round three. then that big punch landed.

u should rewatch the fight and see that Garcia was starting to time him just right and held his own when trading. there wasnt a thing lucky about that punch. thats part of boxing. Danny was not getting dominated tho.

imo Khan would have got caught sooner or later. btw Garcia is usally a late starter and gets stronger as the fight goes on while Khan seems to fade. i see a Garcia KO happening again if there is a rematch. i dont he has the power or technique to keep him away.

He did dominate Garcia until the punch
Khan shouldnt have been anywhere near close enough to take that shot
Khans fault though for going away from the tactics he started with

If u listen to him closely he tells him to let his hands go and to throw the left as soon as Amir threw the right... he was giving him good advice, he was timing Amir from the get go and he knew he would get him eventually, he stuck to his game plan and starched that ass... y u mad bro?
