Very interesting. Obviously, Jones doesn't have the power to hurt Foreman and he could be killed if anything lands flush. However, Jones was pretty quick and crafty in the Ruiz fight. I give him a shot at pulling the points win off.
George was pretty determined, and there's a serious chance any jab will stun Jones. I think George overcomes the storm of a thousand needles and finds a damaging punch somewhere. He'd look like **** doing it, though.
George the mummy is far too slow to land and doesn't have the stamina to apply proper pressure, Jones can potshot and get on his boke he has the power to make Foreman respect him somewhat too
jones would never have stepped into the ring with forman, his dad talk ed him out of fighting buster douglas.jones would have gotten hurt in either fight.
Even post coma Douglas was a lot quicker than Foreman. Douglas was a bad stylistic matchup for Jones, but Foreman was horribly slow. That doesnt mean if Foreman connected he couldnt put Jones through the floor, but we saw guys like Moorer and Moorison who both had suspect chins go deep with Foreman and Moorer stood right in front of him. Morrison boxed more like Jones would have against Foreman using a lot of lateral movement and really didnt get hit cleanly at all.
but Tommy Morison also had more power , was far more durable and was much taller than RJJ so he could reach Foreman . 3 big advantages over RJJ . all of these 3 advantages also applied 4 Moorer in comparison with Jones and eventually after almost "pulling out" d decision , Moorer succumbed 2d pressure ("everything cullapses under d presseur") , but at least he was close 2 it as well . Moorer was a mini Holyfield in all of these 3 aspects in a way . Holyfield also "pulled out" d decision . RJJ was nowhere near any of these 3 in terms of either : (1) size & effective reach - so he couldn't reach Foreman without getting reached at least not 4 long (2) durability - Foreman's grazing punches which Jones would have partially evaded or blocked would still at least put him down (3) power - Foreman would have respected Jones much less than he did Moorer , Morison & Holyfield agree with this
Jones stays out of harm's way and lands a very cautious but clear decision. George would be too slow to catch him. The prime George who rumbled with Ali and Frazier would be a way different proposition.
Morrison was more durable? How so? He had horrible stamina and a bad chin. Yes he had more power, but I dont think Foreman had a problem with it nor do I feel Morrison used much of his boxing on his legs like he did. Jones faced many tall fighters and he was so quick in the angles he would have Foreman reaching all night and would be killing him with counters.
Jones would've NEVER stepped in the ring with George... EVER.. and there is a reason for this.. I honestly believe a foreman jab would give Jones pause
This would be a replay of the Moorer fight but shorter. I can see Roy boxing circles around George for the first half of the fight. George starts measuring Roy with his own jab and then a big right hand puts him out.

by getting floored by Donovan Ruddock and getting up he was more durable . By lasting full 5 completed rounds against Lennox Lewis he was more durable . U think Roy Jones would have been up and enough 2 win by stoppage after getting floored by Ruddock ? U think he'd have gotten up after being put down twice against Carl Williams enough 2 win by stoppage later ? U think he would have survived 2 knockdowns by Ross Puritty ? fight Joe Hipp in a war of attrition ? really ? U questioned Tommy Morison being more durable than RJJ whom was KOd by Glen Johnson and stopped in 2 by Tarver !!!!! and floored by Lou DelValle and only fought undersized corpses or completely inexperienced fighters during his prime , b4 it and some times past it . And regarding Jones' "tall opponents" , none of them was nearly as tall as Foreman . I don't care that Tarver was once listed 6'3" , at that same occurrence he was visibly shorter by d listed as 6'1" (at d same time) Chad Dawson . Tarver , Woods , Hill , Gonzalez were all shorter than Foreman by far , by something like 3 inches at least . Jones would have been severely dwarfed by Foreman . Slightly more than Toney was vs Holyfield , i will post that pic again if necessary .
