The fella was 70 years old, and apologised for his language. He never actually said anything to my face, because he could not even see me. When he called David Haye a koon, he thought..."I" was a white person.

But when i stood up, he seen otherwise.

I didn't even have to say a word. He apologised and the group of others guys he was with in their 30's, said nothing to me.

A lot of people will have a problem with PK's post, because race is a touchy subject. Now I am not saying that anyone who hates Khan is racist. There are people who just don't like him for other reasons.

However, to say that 99% who dislike him aren't racist is a bull**** statement. So off the mark. You only have to read the comments on youtube vids, twitter, websites such as the sun etc to know how wrong this is. Some of you just like to bury your heads in the sand and pretend this is a tiny minority, when it's clearly much bigger than that.

The relationship between Muslims and non Muslims in Britain is at an all time low, because of 7/7 and what not.

1st page of comments section. 3 people using the word ****. Many others who have not used the word **** but are calling him a ****, may also be racist. This is just the first page. 1%? Bull****, mate. You know it.

You don't have to use the word **** to be racist. Some of these Khan haters may even have asian friends, but deep down they still hold some bitterness. What I mean is that they will look for an excuse to hate the guy and then jump on it when they getit. With Khan they say he's arrogant. Again, I'm not saying everyone who calls Khan arrogant is racist, but I do believe some of them are using this as an excuse. Khan is deluded, no denying that, but most boxers are. That's what I'm trying to say. As PK pointed out, there are boxers way more arrogant than Khan who get a free pass.

Khan I believe because of his race/religion has less room for error and is expected to be a nice, humble kid. If he strays from this, he gets flamed.

Naseem Hamed had haters who were racist, and he also had many fans of all races, including white folks. Khan is no different.


PK said it's not just white folks who have a problem with ****stanis. He's right. I'm Indian, and I know a few Indians who want Khan to lose because he's ****stani. Me personally? I am not a fan of Khan, but not a hater either. As PK would say, when it comes to Khan "I AM NOT ASSED". I'm just speaking the truth here. A lot of the haters are racist. Not all, but a lot. I feel sorry for these racists.


The same type of comments can be found on this video. Again, this is a touchy subject I'm bringing up (and deviating a little bit from the Khan issue), but **** it. The truth needs to be heard. This video is a perfect example of how integration has failed. I have nothing against this guy at all BUT, this guy is supposed to be British. He sounds like he just stepped off a boat. Do you think he has many interactions with white folks? Apart from the gym? Do you think he wasn't made fun of in school? Do you think he really feels British? Or do you think he has lived a sheltered life, only interacting with his own race? Some Asians aren't integrating properly. This is a problem in the Asian community and they have to take some responsibility. You cannot expect full acceptance if you are like this. Racism is wrong, but you can't play the race card all the time. I am not excusing racism, but I understand why this **** happens. The sensible Asian posters on this site will understand what I mean.

Usman Ahmded. I feel sorry for him. I'm not excusing racism, but y'all can see he's giving people ammo to use against him. Or rather, his upbringing is doing it. He can't change now. It's too late. It's a vicious circle. Asian folks need to wake up and smell the coffee as well. If they don't make an effort to fit the **** in, then their kids will turn out like this, and be bullied. The distance between them and non Asians will become massive. Non Asians will then have that ammo to spout racist shite, and they will be suspicious. Both Asians and non Asians need to stop burying their ****in' heads in the sand, and realise **** is ****ed up. Multicultural paradise, gimme a ****in' break.

People want to ignore the fact that Khan has haters who are racist, and a large part of his haters are racist. The evidence is just to consistent and wide spread, from the personally stories i have seen in everyday life, from the social networks, to the youtube videos, its just to consistent and wide spread to brush it under the carpet.

It is a problem this country has it is institutionalist racist towards Muslims and Asians more so ****stani's maybe, but overall people are conditioned to hate Muslims/Asians and it has all gotten way out of control since this war on terror. Its a problem white and black people have, i used t work in the city centre, and Liverpool is the fight city.......

And used to always have banter with people over boxing, i feel Asians/Muslims are where black people where in the 1970's.

Seems like everybody has a issue with them.

I don't know what a Bungle is mate. I'm guessing it means Indian? If so, yeah I am, and yeah there is a lot of tension between us and 'stans. Me personally, I like to treat everyone as they are. If you;re a good **** you're my mate, if you're a bad one, the you can get ****ed, but yeah, the beef is there. Mainly among older Indians and stans, but some of the youngsters are also ****ed up like that. The youngsters are beginning to integrate more though, which is good. You even see some Indian lads dating 'stani birds these days, which would never have happened say 20 years ago.

 

Read what people have been saying here, Prince Nazeem Hamed was of a different time. Since this war on terror this country has been conditioned to hate Asians/Muslims, it has became institutionally racist towards them more so than before. Plus back in Prince Naseem Hamed's day there where no massive social networks and the internet was not as wide spread used.....

A large portion of Amir Khan's fans are racist mate, not all of them. But the evidence on social networks, youtube, and personal social experiences that i have witnessed.

As PK pointed out, there was no social media in those days so it wasn't as out in the open. Was on a Naz highlight video the other day. One of the first comments was calling him a raghead. It's a lot more widespread than people think. If it was just a tiny minority then stuff like that would be hard to find, but it's constantly in your face on youtube, twitter, etc. Boxing fans on forums tend to be more sensible, and it's rare in places like ESB.


Mishima, yeah I guess Widdy was probably talkin' 'bout Bengalis. I wasn't aware they also had beef with 'stanis, what with them sharing the same religion and all.

 

Khan comes across as a bit of whinger and hasn't really met his own lofty targets. Banging on about fighting Mayweather all the time makes Khan look a bit detached from reality as well.
