Khan's friend and schaffer both taking shots at Froch, even saying froch would QUIT!!

    Amir Khan's friend @Saj23 tweeted this rubbish:

    "Right so its clear now that Carl Froch meant if he was Amir he would retire.. Well if he was Amir he wouldn't have got up after the first knockdown and would have quit that's a fact! Khan is a warrior down 3 times and he still wanted to carry on #LionsHeart only 25 years old, Froch said the same thing after the Prescott fight, evryone said khan was finished.. He gnna prove u all wrong again"

    How can he say Froch would quit? How does Froch lack heart? WOW, just WOW!



    And Schaeffer had this to say about Froch:

    On Froch's assertion that Khan should retire:

    "Carl Froch suggesting that Amir retire is ridiculous. Carl Froch will never be able to capture the American audience the way Amir Khan is. His name barely registers among fight fans let alone sports fans. Amir Khan’s exciting style is what has earned him the respect of the U.S. fight fans.

    "Amir Khan got caught with a punch. But one punch does not change a man. I can assure all fight fans that Amir will be champion again. What we saw from Amir in three rounds is his tremendous offense.

    "Now he needs to go back to the drawing board and focus more on defense. If he does that, he will be a complete fighter, and nobody will be able to beat him -- and I do mean nobody!"

    On the marketability of Froch versus that of Khan:

    "Carl Froch on the other hand should focus on his own business. No TV network here in the United States is jumping up and down and asking when can we have Carl Froch back.

    "I have already received calls from HBO and Showtime both asking when will Amir be back. I am 100 percent behind Amir. In good times, everybody is your friend. But it is in difficult times when you see who your real friends are.

    "I know that Amir will be fighting on a major TV network from a major venue in the United States if he wants to. Amir was a star, is a star and always will be a star."

    What a ****ing knob! Froch said if that was him - as in Carl Froch at 35 years old getting knocked out - then he would retire. He's not saying 'if he was Amir'. For ****'s sake, Froch has already cleared this up. Tell that ****, Saj, to get his info straight before going on a rant like that. Khan needs to give him a slap.

    September 15th is going to show that Richard Schaefer and Golden Boy are more flash, money, and sizzle than any actual talent when it comes to the art of promotion.

    I don't care what hangers-on friends and yes men say.

    im gonna laugh when khan gets all the showtime treatment, a network that was considered frochs home, you know he will be so bitter.

    No. Back-peddling is when you go back and change what you've said. Froch didn't do that. He went and told the BBC to put his comments in their correct context. In other words, he ordered them to include the other comments they left out.

    Schaffers trying to fire back at froch saying khan is a bigger star is pathetic, he may be the bigger draw but froch is still 10x the fighter khan is and will be remembered that way, deep down I think that hurts khan

    Never understood why the Brits on here supported Glass Jawed jokes like Khan and Hatton and slagged off Froch and Calzaghe who were legit fighters.

    They only recently warmed up to Froch after he has proven himself much more than Khan every will.

    The funny thing is, he says Froch would have quit! I don't think he realises how many wars Froch has been in.
