Uchiyama has said that he would fight Broner, even in America. Broner has stated: They [Takashi Uchiyama and Takahiro Ao] want to keep their belts over there, they dont want to come over here and get exposed, It's a blatant avoidance of two good fighters. If Broner thought he could beat them, he'd suggest them going to America or suggest him going to Japan. He hasn't done that. Instead, he's chosen soft opponent after another and is now running out of the division. The time difference between the UK and America is sometimes -8 hours. If we can accommodate the time difference, so can the Japanese. I'm sure they would do too. America is a large media market, yes, but the media don't stop covering a fight because it's in a foreign country. Every major outlet covered Wlad/Haye and that was between a British and Ukrainian fighter held in Germany. The media would cover Uchiyama/Broner whether it was in Japan or America, equally the same. They wouldn't differentiate because of the location. How would Broner make more? His sponserships would be the same, the purse split would be the same, the money from the TV networks would be the same etc.. What exactly would Broner get in America that he wouldn't also get in Japan? I just don't see the point in going into massive detail about a fighter who you haven't watched. What's the point? I'm not going to overanalyze it when you haven't even watched one guy, so I left it with that very simplistic answer.
I guess it's possible because 130lbs is horrendously weak at the moment. Perez had beaten absolutely nobody and didn't deserve the accolade of being a 'top 10' fighter. He got it by default, due to the rest of the division being garbage.
Im hot and cold with this guy i dont care that he is getting hype while facing so so fighters he is young shows he has the goods and is beating guys most 23 or 24 yr old kids would not he has time here is my problem with him....like Canelo, Berto and other young stars he was gifted a vacant title he fought for the vacant WBO...in a vacancy shouldnt it be the 2 highest ranked availible duking it out....were the WBO ranks that weak or did Haymon grab like the number 25 and put him in with Broner for a vacant belt its sickening when star power gives you free titles then after getting a bogus belt he defended vs less than world class he beat De Leon and now he fights Escobedo...dont get it anyway like i said i dont hold it agaisnt him too much...if he was 28-30 yrs old and this was his resume id say hes fraudulent
So Broner is "deeply flawed:rofl" (sorry, I couldn't say that without laughing) and will lose easily when he fights elite competition and then this will confirm your opinion of Broner being a Bum...Yet Linares and Khan have more talent and ability (your words, not mine) but both were KTFO by B and C-Level fighters, Yet you still rate them higher? Do you even know the definition of This content is protected
I dont think you can say its a FACT that when he steps up in class he will be "exposed" because he hasnt stepped up in class yet. Right now hes looking good, has great entertainment value and has done everything he has needed to do. And dont forget hes still growing as a fighter. So i respect your OPINION, but to say he is "Deeply Flawed" and that "when he steps it up in class, that he'll be found wanting" is merely an opinion. And an opinion that i hope is wrong. Just let the guy grow, enjoy that fact that he is an entertaining guy and leave it at that. So what if he doesnt make it to elite Level. He will probably live a much better life than most of us posting here. Just wish him the best and stop being so negative.
Again, it doesn't make sense for him to go to Japan. You need to understand this. If Uchiyama wants to come to the states, he needs to have his people call GBP and set it up. First off the difference between the UK and Eastern Standard Time(i.e where most Americans live) is 5 hours. Second, 5 hours is less than half of 13 hrs.(The difference between EST and Japan). If Broner fights in Japan, the fight would have to come on in the morning local time in either Japan or the U.S. HBO is not paying much for a morning broadcast. You say Uchiyama is a bigger draw, so why would they stage it in the morning in Japan? Surely you can understand why that analogy doesn't fly here. That's a HW fight, between two big time fighters. Also, England and Germany are something like 500 miles apart. The time difference I believe 1 hour. The logisitics of an English media outlet doing a fight in Germany aren't very complicated or expensive. Broner and Uchiyama are SFW. They are not as big of names as Haye and Wlad. The distance between The U.S and Japan is something like 6,000 miles and there is a 13 hour time difference. The logistics of a media outlet in America covering a fight in Japan is a lot more complicated and expensive. Surely you don't actually believe this. These media outlets don't have unlimited funds. I can't believe you're actually suggesting that an American media outlet would have just as much coverage of a Broner fight in America as they would in Japan. This defies all logic and common sense. I'll just chalk this up to you not being from this country or understanding the geography. No it would not, and this is his biggest source of income by far. We are on two entirely different pages in regards to the economics involved here. That's an easy answer, money. We've already been over this, but you don't seem to realize Broner gets pretty all of his money from HBO. You also don't seem to understand that the production costs that HBO would incure from doing the fight and Japan as opposed to America would be much higher, which would(along with the time difference) obviously cause them to offer a much lower liscencing fee. I guess perhaps you think flights and other traveling associated fees are pretty much the same no matter where you go. You don't have to go into massive details. You seem to be pretty confident that Broner isn't very good and that Uchiyama would not only beat Broner, but would destroy him and stop him relatively quickly. Surely you can give a brief analysis on why this is so.
Oh and Broner's biggest flaw is trying to look exactly like Mayweather. Its obvious that he doesn't fight in his own style and the way he throws his punches he obviously trying toooo hard to look like Mayweather. If he stopped that ******edness and just fought like Adrian Broner he'd go far but once he steps up? All that energy he wastes on trying to look like Mayweather is gonna get him an embarrassing lose.
Floyd picked the wrong horse in this race. I feel bad for 50 and Floyd they are going to lose a lot of money on glass chin Gamboa against Broner
Jack Uchiyama wont even fight his won countrymen and belt holder Takahiro Ao so we know he is not coming to America to fight Broner
Man...you guys are HATIN on Broner! "The Problem" won't have one until he moves up to 140, unless he fights Rios, Gamboa or Demarco. But...he's a hard "Problem" to solve. As a fan, I'd love to see better competition for this kid though.
As scared as he looked for little Ponce even Broner doesn't seem to have to much faith in his own chin.
we have seen Gamboa knocked down by c level fighters how many times you seen Broner knocked down? :hi::hi::hi:
