JMM is one of my favorite fighters of the modern/current era (past 15 years or so), and Floyd is not....But Floyd is a tier above Marquez, on all fronts.

Marquez on his best day facing the worst version of Floyd (Perhaps castillio I), still comes up very short on the cards....I would cheer for JMM...but I would be cheering in vain.

Mayweather was a beast at 130. He doesn't school everyone but he's pretty damn good at 130.

 

I am not a Mayweather fan at all, but this is spot on. I am not certain that I would say he is the ALL TIME best at this weight, and I certainly wouldn't say he would school other greats at this weight....But he would be a handful for anyone and a super tough out for any great at this weight. He is so adaptable that there is no one I would say could have an easy night with him across the ring.

 

Floyd is taller, longer, faster, and more skilled. Weight in this match up is negligible since it's hard to find any aspect of Marquez's game that's not inferior to Mayweather's.

 

mayweather wins easily. floyd against any fighter ever, in my opinion, would be competitive. he would give any fighter problems. floyd can do it all.

 

I have not seen either guy fight ever.
