Not at all, knockouts, body shots and inside fighting win fights in the amateurs these days. If you don't like that then you don't like boxing. After the olympics the headgear is gone as well and it'll be back to scoring rounds on a 10 point must system.
I don't understand what you mean, AIBA are worldwide so that includes amateur competition everywhere. The USA boxers would have to compete under AIBA if they want to compete in international tournaments.

if you can win the gold you are a beast. if you dont, it does not meant you are not one but must guys who win gold in the sport due great things in boxing.
