CARL FROCH: Cleverlly not a world champ

I think the WBO title is a good as the WBA and WBC since they have started to have more than 1 WBA champion.

I am not sure if I would call Cleverly a world champion yet since he never won the belt in the ring.

TBH Carl's always held that opinion of the WBO IIRC. I'm sure he called it the ****** Boxing Organization.

It's his opinion of the title, fair play. Cleverly is a world champion but not the top guy in division but then again nor is Carl.

That's a snippet of a quote, but I think he'e refering to the fact Cleverly didn't win the belt in the ring, Brahmer pulled out and the belt got awarded to him. Not Clev's fault I know. To be fair to Clev he said this in the lead up to getting awareded the belt:

Since then he hasn't really been tested by a world class fighter in any of is three defences. Is Bellew world class? Maybe in the future, but not yet.

By the way I'm no Clev hater, think he's quality talent and could be great if he pulls his finger out and stops behaving like JC did, just saying how it is at the moment as the Cobra did.:yep

 

Hmm.... and Cleverly never namedropped Froch at all to flog his fights with Tommy Karpency and that K-whatsit dude who I've never heard of.

I'm sure I read ''after he loses to Bute he won't fancy a fight with me'' somewhere.

At the end of the day Froch has earned the right to talk **** about whoever he wants, though in this case he's not really talking ****.

If you want to call yourself a world champion, fight world class fighters. The best guys Cleverly has faced are Murat and Bellew... neither have any form at world level aside from, in Murat's case having his head punched in by Clev, and Bellew losing a close/debatable/joke decision (delete according to nationality/allegiance).

He's right again. Cleverly is the biggest fraud in world boxing.

 

He's right, Clev still needs to fight a champ to be a champ or at least a world class opponent, for whatever reason he isnt doing that. I llike Clev but he's falling short at the moment. Same age as Khan and look at the fights Khan has been in? (Going back to the other article)

Who is Clev fighting next? His last fight was 4 months ago.
