Jeez, poor guy looks like a crack addict. He had a great career by most people's standards, and quit when it became obvious that he wasn't going to climb any higher in the sport. He abused his body the whole time and it shows...really no need to come back, nothing to prove that he can physically achieve.

Hmm, don't think a comeback is the best idea. If he goes through with it, it'll have been 4 years since his last good performance.

That's a long time for anyone to be out the sport, but it's pretty well-documented that Ricky's piled on a shitload of weight, as well as getting bang on the booze and charlie in the meantime.

And you can tell by looking at his face... looking a bit haggard these days. Obviously he's a lot thinner but he doesn't look healthy.

Still, providing he hasn't deteriorated a shitload, there's a couple of winnable fights out there for him. Malignaggi makes the most sense for a number of reasons.

Assuming there willbe a comeback, is this just a bargaining chip in getting a good tv deal for Hatton Promotions?

Good luck to him. He was certainly an exciting fighter and real decent lad.

    risk v reward. Simple equation.

Hatton was a fraud, he knew it deep down too. Just out for a couple of big pay days.

He's been in Italy for 3 weeks working with a strength and conditioning coach - that's a fact.

Well i wouldnt be surprised if he did come out of retirement, simply to retire again but on a high....That means he would have to fight someone with a title who isnt much of a threat and possibly a fight with a slight grudge to make it more exciting...That can mean only one man, the British Welterweight Champ, Junior Witter !

Wicky just making noises about coming back, for a bit of attention. He's done and was never much good, sparked by PBF, Pacquiao and a random punter at the fruity down the pub.

I moaned and groaned about Scotty Harrison coming back, thought he was too old, been on the beer too much and been out of the ring too long AND didnt look good in his last fight against Hussein... Then Scotty came back, bigger faster & better than he looked in the last fight he had 7 years ago:shock:

I think Hatton watched Scottys succesful comeback against all the odds & its relit his fire! I actually think Hatton could make a good comeback, after all he only lost to the best of the best, and hasnt been out as long as the real mccoy. Dare to dream my good man, dare to dream:deal

Good luck to Ricky, he's earnt the right to do as he pleases. Glad to see him get his body back in order and if he fancies a comeback there have been crazier comebacks than a 33 year old ex world champ.
